The powers that be lost control before Trump took office and a heavy-handed crackdown is going to look arbitrary in light of recent history. They could have quietly slapped charges on people and let Trump fade away like the total cuck he is. Really makes you think. At first I thought the shooting was bullshit but after seeing several different angles and more evidence I'm less sympathetic.

Yep both sides are dumb and now both sides can have their street battles in prison for attacking Federal buildings instead of turning the streets of major cities into soccer hooligan riots every weekend. The biggest crime is the police not just arresting everyone who's been swinging batons, fogging crowds with bear mace, and shooting paint balls for the past year or a lot of this probably could have been avoided before it got to epidemic levels.

Maybe its just me, but does this really compare to the BLM riots? I mean there was one major incident where they banged on the Capitol door and a protestor got shot but that was mostly it in a gigantic crowd of actually peaceful protestors. So this is a mob and a full blown riot but the BLM stuff where tons more got destroyed and far more people died was a 'mostly peaceful protest' and even conservatives just nod their head in agreement? Seems somewhat incongruous to me.

Republicans are roundly condemning this far more peaceful protest while the Democrats did no such thing for the entire BLM riots.
