Might as well. Originally it was going to be an effort post about why anyone who still stands beside the GOP has to be certifiably insane, but a shitpost sounded like more fun. I'll quote it below anyways, but in general I just don't have much else to say about this clusterfuck beyond "Goddamn that was a fast impeachment."

I don't even know why you'd still support the GOP after this election. You can't really directly blame them for the actions of the tech companies and the financial institutions and the nearly year-long riots, but you'd have to be certifiably brain-dead to not realize that for four straight years they did absolutely nothing to protect you. They threw out some snappy one-liners and 'owned the libs' during Congressional meetings with Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg, but nothing ever came of it. No prosecutions, no investigations, no revisions to or even enforcement of existing laws, it was all just a dog-and-pony show to get you to show up for the next election and raise their awareness for what's doubtlessly going to be a peanut gallery of retards vying for the throne in 2024.

Yes, this happens every single election and it's not surprising that a politician is self-serving, but it was so blatant this election that I'm amazed that more people weren't immediately bucked off the wagon and back into the wilderness. They had every opportunity they could have been given to put a stop to what happened, what is happening, and what will happen, and they did absolutely nothing but monitor the situation closely and occasionally send some pithy Tweet to a CNN reporter or some blue-check you've never heard of before and never will again.

Our entire economy has been shoved into the floorboards, suicide and divorce rates have spiked higher than they've been in I don't even know how long, political tensions are at a psychotic tipping point, the country spent the past year effectively being hammered by race riots, the incoming President is a dementia patient being propped up by all the worst parts of Obama's administration, and now the tech companies and financial services are free to crack down as hard as they please, because they're tied at the hip with one of our political parties and no one ever bothered to do anything about it.

I extend this all the way up to Donald fucking Trump because even after all of this, his dipshit son is coming out on Parler and telling everyone to hang in there for four more years, because the 2024 election isn't that far away. Why anyone would give the slightest shit about the GOP or even Trump himself at this point is beyond me.
