So let's do a quick recapping of the Amico saga up to this point
- Around 2020 Tommy Tallarico (when he was still CEO of Intellivision Entertainment) stated that his main goal was for Intellivision (his childhood favorite console brand) to finally be able to defeat Atari in a console sales war.
- Since 2021 Atari has released :
The VCS (they're flagship console in modern times), released the 2600+, partnered with My Arcade to release multiple new mini system's (the micro player, the pocket player and the gamestation pro) , they now own half of Playmaji the makers of the Polymega, they also own half of Antstream, fully own Night Dive Studios and Digital Eclipse, they purchased over a hundred classic ips such as Bubsy and Hardball, they created the Atari Recharged line of games and the Atari 50 collection, they're partnering with Retro Games to release the Atari 400 mini, purchased Atari age etc.
- Meanwhile at Intellivision :
They've pretty much wasted all the money they had gained from gullible Kickstarter backers and loan sharks like Sudesh Aggarwal (over 16 million dollars), still no Amico consoles ready to be shipped , Earthworm Jim IV is nowhere to be found, the Amico controller is still not functional, Phil Adam the guy that has replaced Tommy as CEO of Intellivision was previously involved in the Coleco Chameleon fiasco, they've gone third party releasing the Amico home app on smartphones before even releasing they're console ( a first in gaming history ), the idiots who pre ordered this console got fake physical games that don't work on anything as a reward, Tommy is out of money as is selling his House etc
Guess that second console war between Intellivision and Atari isn't exactly going according to plan now is it Tommy
