Intel's new voice ai will block (((hate speech))) instead of doing anything useful, like noise cancelling. - No it's not a meme. I pray to christ It needs the new processors to be implemented.

I doubt intel will be able to keep this to themselves, they'll either volunteer or be asked to give away the model (once it actually works decently) to other orgs (Discord, Google, FB, Insta, ect) so that they can justify platforming anyone who doesn't impliment these tools into their application. I think the EU has already mandated upload filters for copyright so I seriously doubt there would be much opposition to this kind of mandate.

It frustrates me to no end that only a few short years ago there were people who would say "There's no censorship going on, it's just x,y,z....." when the obvious signs of this started creeping up.
They'll never need to burn any books if they can prevent them from being written in the first place.
I also can't help but notice they're pushing this out when it's defacto illegal to interact with people IRL to discuss things in a public setting.

We can push back though.
  • Host your own communication platforms for people you know IRL (Ideally federated but not strictly necessary)
  • Bring as many people you know onto them, and support it was well as you can,the better it is the more likely it will be to be habitual for people.
  • Educate everyone on the bare essentials of interacting with this system
    • Sideloading apps on Android and using F-Droid
    • A basic understanding of how federated systems work
    • What cryptocurrencies are and how they work
I think that's achievable and simple enough but it would make a huge difference.

I didn't think society could sink to new lows but here we are.

Soon there'll be a law where we'll be forced to think happy and act like we live in a perfect society. Anybody who doesn't gets the death sentence.

Makes me wish I would of pulled the trigger sooner.
There's still time.

Send this screenshot to your friends without context. The implication that "nigger" somehow needs to be switched on, and the white nationalism slider set to "all," is fucking hilarious to me.

"Your server has been removed from our hosting services as you did not set the n-word switch to on"

I have to wonder if they're going to catastrophically fuck this up even more than it already is by turning the woke audience against them, by trying to employ some sort of filter that attempts to determine the race of the speaker.
You might be right. They already have that technology.

Intel is clearly going to train this AI into a straight up social media anti-thought weapon, because that's the only way they can make money off of it. "The Intel anti-hate engine has noticed you participated in hate speech, you have been reported to the authorities and put on the no-no bad person list."

While a company board can be in compliance with diversity quotas from half of the board being MtF trans because trans women, are women. Thinking otherwise is a hateful crime as filtered by the intel (tm) anti-hate engine.

Don't say I didn't warn you all. Third text block.
I hate this timeline.

Does this bleep/censor the wrongspeak for just the listener (so only people running this garbage will enjoy a "sterile" experience), or does this censor it for the person on the mic (so nobody can hear his danger words)?

Because if this is on the listener's end, as retarded as this is, it's a better solution than trying to ban or police hurt-my-feelings speech. Let human beings communicate as they wish unhindered, and the humanoid doppelgangers can run their naughty words filter to protect their delicate ears instead of bothering us.
I hope that in addition to that it is a custom list and instead of typing in the words, users can't spell, the user have to say the new offensive words 4chan came up with that they don't want to hear. It would help to keep up with the evolution of slurs if enough people send it to the cloud, not that they're listening or anything.

Getting flashbacks from those faggy chat filters some people added to their tf2/gmos servers, where saying "fuck" would change your entire message to a cringy and overly long phrase along the lines of "I am a sad lonely kid whose parents aren't home".
Hope this shit never takes off and/or is hilariously shitty at its job.

Problem with that is, the cancel mobs would have to be held up to their own standards. And as we all know, the only real standard they are willing to hold up is the double standard.

Every AAA game is gonna feel like neopets a few years from now.
It's hilarious how obtuse amounts of violence in games like MK have become somewhat of a norm, but bad meanie words are literally 10x the holocaust in comparison. We're going to end up with a game where you can chop people's limbs off and then shove their bodies through a grinder, all rendered in insane detail, while at the same time you can't say anything other than "Rock on!" "Yes" and "Thank you" in chat.
