It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

LOL, $1980/€2000

The price of the Galaxy Fold will start at $1,980 (€2,000 in Europe) and the release date will be on 26 April in the US and 3 May in the UK.

Buy yourself a kickass laptop and a Galaxy J4 instead. It's got a removable battery and it does most phone stuff fine. Also it's seriously cheap. $119 for 16GB and $132.99 for 32GB. It's got a microSD slot in it so you an add in a 200GB card for $36.99.

Also Martina Navratilova joins the TERFs!

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sports/te...hlete-ally-over-trans-athletes-row/ar-BBTQosX
http://archive.li/cVGdy
An LGBT group has cut ties with tennis great Martina Navratilova after she said it was a form of "cheating" for transgender women to be allowed to compete in women's sport.

New York-based Athlete Ally, which supports LGBT sportspeople, called the comments transphobic and removed the 18-time Grand Slam winner from its advisory board and as an ambassador.

Navratilova wrote in The Sunday Times that it was "insane" that transgender athletes who "decide" to become female had achieved honors "that were beyond their capabilities as men."

"Martina Navratilova's recent comments on trans athletes are transphobic, based on a false understanding of science and data, and perpetuate dangerous myths that lead to the ongoing targeting of trans people," Athlete Ally said in a statement.

"Trans women are women, period. They did not decide their gender identity any more than someone decides to be gay, or to have blue eyes," the group added.

"They are women, and want to compete in the sport they love, just as any other athlete would."

The move follows a flurry of criticism directed at Navratilova, a gay rights campaigner who herself suffered homophobic abuse when she came out in 1981, for her Sunday Times column.

Navratilova, who competed for Czechoslovakia and the United States, wrote that "it would not be fair" if she had to play against a transgender woman.

But trans rights group Trans Actual responded on Twitter: "We're pretty devastated to discover that Martina Navratilova is transphobic. If trans women had an advantage in sport, why aren't trans women winning gold medals left, right & centre?"

"Trans women don't have an advantage. Look up the changes that oestrogen makes to the body," they added.

Navratilova has defended her comments, tweeting to CNN on Tuesday that the controversy is "not about me and it is not about whether I was criticized or not -- you ought to talk about the actual issues I raised instead."

According to current rules issued by the International Olympic Committee in 2016, trans men are allowed to compete without restriction.

Trans women, however, must show that their testosterone level has been below a certain level for at least 12 months before their first competition.

'Irrational fear'

Navratilova has caused controversy for her comments on transgender athletes before.

In December she was criticized after tweeting: "You can't just proclaim yourself a female and be able to compete against women. There must be some standards, and having a penis and competing as a woman would not fit that standard."

Those comments led to her becoming embroiled in an online argument with cyclist Rachel McKinnon, the first transgender woman to win a world track cycling title in October 2018.

Athlete Ally said it had reached out to Navratilova after that incident but had not heard back.

"We believe that growth is possible, and we extend once again to Martina the invitation to learn from this experience," the group said Tuesday.

McKinnon reacted to Navratilova's latest comments by tweeting: "It's a wild fantasy worry that is an irrational fear of something that doesn't happen. An irrational fear of trans people? Transphobia."

Navratilova rejected accusations of transphobia, adding that she deplores "what seems to be a growing tendency among transgender activists to denounce anyone who argues against them and to label them all as 'transphobes.'"

She also highlighted her friendship with Renée Richards, the transgender tennis player who campaigned to be able to play in the women's US Open.

I'm going to become rich when I make a miBaby device that makes lazy parents' babies eat, shit and sleep on command. Then when the babies grow up and become adults miBaby nanite based mind control will easily convince them to murder their feckless parents' generation and become an miAdult army to purify the Earth of heretics and degeneracy. Then they will forcibly install miAdult devices on the Unsaved to free them of their poisonous individuality. Finally mianKind will crown me God Emperor by unanimous global vote.

Weight Watchers stock plunge means Oprah’s stake has shrunk by $558 million in 8 months

J.P. Morgan turns bearish as WW app is ‘losing more than pounds’; stock has fallen more than 70% since the June 2018 record close

Oprah Winfrey’s purse has gotten a lot thinner over the past eight months—about $560 million thinner—with J.P Morgan adding to her woes Tuesday by turning bearish on WW, the company formerly known as Weight Watchers International Inc.

The wellness and weight management company’s stock WTW, -1.71% closed down 4.5%, after paring earlier losses of as much as 10.5% to a 20-month low of $27.10 in intraday trading.

The stock has now shed 72.0% since the June 20, 2018 record close of $103.09.

Oprah is WW’s second-largest shareholder, as she beneficially owns 7,524,344 shares, or about 11% of the shares outstanding, according to her most-recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

At the record close, Oprah’s stake had a market value of about $776 million. At current prices, it would only be worth about $218 million.

But before investors shed any tears for the media mogul, her stake is still worth about $170 million more than when she bought it. And that’s not including the more-than $126 million she made when she sold a chunk of shares in early March 2018.

Analyst Christina Braithwaite at J.P. Morgan downgraded WW to a rare underweight rating, just one month after downgrading the company to neutral from overweight. Braithwaite also cut her stock price target to $25 from $37.

Braithwaite said her research suggests daily active users on the WW app keep contracting during the “most important time of the year.” Since the downgrade on Jan. 11, which was based on a “weak start to the New Year Resolution enrollment period,” Braithwaite said daily active user (DAU) trends have worsened, app reviews have become increasingly negative and competitors Noom and Diet Doctor have continued to gain traffic share.

WW is scheduled to report fiscal fourth-quarter results after the market closes on Feb. 26.

On Oct. 18, 2015, Oprah acquired beneficial ownership of 9,875,571 shares, through the purchase of 6,362,103 million common shares at $6.79 each and the granting of options to buy an additional 3,513,468 shares, also at $6.79.

Don’t miss: Oprah gives Weight Watchers investors their best day ever.

How Oprah made, and lost money, on WW
Between March 2, 2018 and March 6, 2018, Oprah sold 2,359,702 shares of common stock at an average price of $60.48. Of the total, 1,405,387 of the shares sold were first acquired through the exercise of options at a strike price of $6.97. The company also disclosed that Oprah was granted an additional 8,180 shares between Oct. 18, 2015 and Jan. 2, 2018 as compensation for her services as director.

Excluding the shares received as compensation, Oprah made about $126.25 million on her investment, but didn’t pocket all of it. She had transferred 361,000 shares to The Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation before the shares were sold.

As of May 15, 2018, Oprah disclosed that she beneficially owned 7,524,344 shares of Weight Watchers, including 5,416,263 common shares and options to buy 2,108,081 shares at an exercise price of $6.79. She was granted 295 shares on April 2 as compensation for services.

At the record close of $103.09, that stake was worth $775.68 million. At current prices, it’s worth $217.53 million, or about $558.15 million less than it was just eight months ago. But excluding the shares granted as compensation, the shares she still owns are worth $166.43 million more than when she acquired them.

See related: Weight Watchers stock jumps to a record after J.P. Morgan’s bullish ‘overweight’ call.

Weight Watchers said on Sept. 24, 2018 that it was changing its name to WW. Since then, the stock has shed 59%, while the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.37% has lost 5.1%.

First off, who is she even? And secondly, really? Just hours after his death?!

For anybody who wants to know about his "sins": he said being too fat can be just as unhealthy as being too skinny and that muslim refugees are the enemies of jews.

The only sacrament of the SJW is ghoulish grave dancing.

As cool as this seems, im sure this is going to be similar to the edge phone. Cool idea on the surface, yet turns out to be just another way samsung is trying to seem innovative without doing much. We will see. Also, if it really is this fantastic design and they some how manage a way to make it preform smoothly (despite samsung never doing that) , a similar design with less kinks will come out in two years.

http://www.fox5ny.com/news/-ruff-day-for-lakeville-dogs-that-called-911-five-times

LAKEVILLE, Minn. (FOX 9) - It must have been a "ruff" morning for a duo of dogs in Lakeville, Minnesota that called 911 more than a dozen times while their owners were gone, prompting police to respond to their home.

It turned out the Papillion and the hound are the newest “pawtners in crime.”

“We were dispatched to a 911 hang up call at a residence in Lakeville,” said Officer Michelle Roberts of the Lakeville Police Department.

Officers Roberts and her partner Officer Emily Bares have checked out their share of 911 hang up calls, but not like this.

“It was just kind of weird usually people come to the door, seeing two dogs go hyper is not something I see all the time,” said Officer Bares.

The officers rang the doorbell, walked around the house and were about to clear the call when they learned these pups had been hounding dispatch.

“Shortly after clearing, dispatch advised us they had multiple additional 911 calls and all they could hear in the background was dogs barking,” said Officer Roberts.

And those 911 hang up calls continued - 16 times! The only suspects were the doggone residents.

Officer Roberts was able to get ahold of the owner and got in the home through the garage.

“Went upstairs to his office to where the cell phone was, it was on his desk, it was on emergency call only, so in theory a dog could’ve called 911, and pushed the phone with its paw,” she said.

Remy and Bomber had apparently taken matters into their own paws.

“Our assumption is the dogs were having a rough day and it was the dogs that were seeking assistance through 911,” she said.

Maybe we’ll never know the reason behind their call and maybe we don’t need to know.

“Anytime we can laugh and talk about dogs calling 911, if that’s the biggest news of our day that’s a good day,” said Officer Roberts.

The owner told FOX 9 he was stunned about all of this and that he couldn’t believe the pups could do something like call 911. But one thing’s for sure, he won't be leaving his phone out again anytime soon.

5 Americans arrested on weapons charges in Haiti
Plus 2 bonus Serbs
The former Navy SEAL among a group of eight men arrested earlier this week in Port-au-Prince on weapons charges says he was providing security work "for people who are directly connected to the current President" of Haiti.

"We were being used as pawns in a public fight between him and the current Prime Minister of Haiti," said Chris Osman, 44, in a post on Instagram Friday. "We were not released we were in fact rescued."

Osman was one of five Americans, two Serbs, and one Haitian who were stopped at a Port-au-Prince police checkpoint on Sunday while riding in two vehicles without license plates, according to police. When questioned, police said the men — who were carrying AR-15 rifles, pistols, various knives, satellite phones, and other tactical gear — claimed they were on a "government mission" before being taken into custody.

Osman was identified along with Christopher McKinley (who also goes by Christopher Heben), 49, also a former Navy SEAL; Kent Kroeker, 52, a former Marine Corps pilot; Talon Burton, 52, a former Army military policeman and State Department security guard; and Dustin Porte, 42, the president of a business headquartered in Louisiana called Patriot Group Services, Inc.

Three others in the group were Vlade Jankvic, 41, and Danilo Bajagic, 37, both Serbian nationals; and Michael Estera, 39, a Haitian citizen.

Seven of the eight men were released from police custody and put on a plane back to the U.S. on Wednesday, where they were greeted by law enforcement officers on the ground in Miami (Estera was not allowed to leave Haiti).

A State Department spokesperson said their return was "coordinated with Haitian authorities" but declined to comment further.

"Sometimes life is stranger than fiction and filled with crazy adventures. I am alive and back home. We all are," Osman said in the post. "It's now known that I do security work and have done it for years. My days of doing any out of the U.S. is officially over because I'm plastered all over media around the world."

Osman went on to say the people of Haiti were "really good to us" and thanked the U.S. government, State Department, U.S. Embassy in Haiti, and others who "stepped in to save us."

The U.S. Embassy in Haiti did not respond to emailed questions from Task & Purpose.

The men being escorted off the plane by law enforcement in Miami was captured by Carel Pedre, a Haitian media personality, who was on American Airlines flight 1059 and posted a video of the incident on Twitter.

"The pilot said government officials were coming in," Pedre told Task & Purpose. "They had navy blue uniforms with what looked like the Homeland Security badge on their shoulders."

But which law enforcement agency actually took them off the plane remains a mystery. Task & Purpose contacted The City of Miami Police Department, Miami-Dade Police Department, the FBI, TSA, and the U.S. Marshal's Service, and all denied they had any involvement. A spokesperson for Customs and Border Patrol did not respond.

Federal sources told The Miami Herald the men would not be charged.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of Florida declined to comment

Since this is apparently an old racist tactic, would these people mind providing one single solitary example of an old racist using gay people to advance racism? Like just one, ever? Because I don't think it's an old tactic, I don't even think it's ever happened.
Does Smollett count?

Of course not.
