It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Puppy rescued from sewer pipe in Texas

Water crews in Texas came to the rescue of a puppy that fell into a sewer main and became stranded in a pipe.

The San Antonio Water System said crews responded on Wednesday night when three puppies fell into the sewer main on Brunswick street on the South Side of the city.

Firefighters were able to pull two of the puppies to safety, but the third was stranded in a pipe out of their reach.

The SAWS crews used a camera to locate the puppy and nudge it about 10 feet at a time for 200 feet until it could be reached by rescuers.

The puppy, dubbed Pipa by rescuers, was taken to San Antonio Animal Care Services.

Hamas calls Israel 'Nazi enemy' in appeal to the international community

Hamas has issued a resounding call to the international community to refer the "crimes" of Israel, or as they claimed, the "Nazi enemy," against the Gaza Strip, to the International Criminal Court.

In a strongly-worded statement, Hamas highlighted the need for accountability and the importance of addressing what they perceive as the "fascist occupation's crimes" against Gaza.

Hamas has welcomed international efforts to bring these allegations to the attention of the International Criminal Court, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive investigation into the actions of the occupying forces in Gaza.

Workers at a bear sanctuary in Pristina are working hard to look after a lion that wants to play in the snow and bears who were removed from their natural habitat when they were cubs and also enjoy the snowy conditions because they do not hibernate any more.
As the winter’s first snowfall covered Bear Sanctuary Prishtina in the Kosovan capital, visitors enjoyed the sight of a lion playing before quickly taking shelter indoors where a heater was installed to fend off temperatures which fell below freezing.

“We know that this is not their perfect environment to survive but we have created a nice place for the winter and we have installed a heater that helps him a lot because big cats need much warmer temperatures,” Albana Hoti, head of animal and facilities management at the sanctuary, told Reuters.

The lion, named Gjon, was rescued last year from a local restaurant where it was kept to amuse clients. It is expected to be transported to South Africa once legal hurdles are overcome.

The sanctuary, home to 20 brown bears, is managed by Four Paws International, a non-profit dedicated to animal welfare. The bears have a similar story to Gjon’s, having been rescued from local restaurants where they were caged after being removed from local forests.

Hoti said that four or five of the bears “do not go on a full hibernation because they never experienced [life in the wild] and this is all they can do, hibernate a little bit and then again they go out”.

She said 16 of the sanctuary’s other bears do go into full hibernation.

One of the hostages then Hamas released is a guy who buy Hunter Biden's "art".
Gosh, it's good to be Hunter Biden.

Ok, so not really because he's a horrific, drug-addicted, perverted deviant BUT in the grand scheme of consequences and life, he's got it pretty good. Not to mention the people in his circle who make his life easier, like the ones buying his 'art'.

Then again, sounds like they have it pretty good as well.

Sean ‘Diddy' Combs Steps Back From Revolt Media Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Sean ‘Diddy' Combs is stepping back as chairman of his company Revolt Media, a rep confirmed, in the midst of multiple sexual assault lawsuits.

There was no statement today. But his representatives last week called claims "fabricated" and "falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs' fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit. The New York Legislature surely did not intend or expect the Adult Survivors Act to be exploited by scammers. The public should be skeptical and not rush to accept these bogus allegations."

The reference is to the New York's Adult Survivors Act, which provides a one-year window for sexual assault plaintiffs to file civil claims, regardless of the statute of limitations. That window closed last Thursday. Three suits against Combs, along with recent suits against Jamie Foxx, Axl Rose and others, were filed under the Act.

Combs launched Revolt in 2013 as a cable music network and it's expanded into a multi-platform digital company and leading media brand for Black creators. Detavio Samuels is CEO.

Earlier this month, the rapper's former longtime girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, aka Cassie, sued Combs over accusations of rape and intense physical and psychological abuse. The case was settled out of court less than 24 hours after it was filed. Two more suits were filed last week. In a lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court, Joi Dickerson-Neal alleges that the rapper and record mogul drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1991 when she was a student at Syracuse University.

SFU instructor temporarily replaced after sending students an anti-trans, sexist rant

Simon Fraser University (SFU) is looking into the actions of an instructor after he allegedly sent students an anti-trans, sexist rant to students via email.

SFU tells CityNews it is aware of the email and explains that it contained personal views that don’t represent the views of the university.

“Over the weekend, we were made aware of an email that was sent by an instructor to students enrolled in a computing sciences course,” the statement reads.

“SFU is committed to the well-being of its students, and creating a learning environment that is supportive, inclusive, and respectful.”

Several posts on Reddit show the email sent by lecturer Steven Pearce in its entirety.

“I am very concerned about half of this class and, in particular, many of the students. Something has to be said, and here is my two cents worth,” he said in the opening of the email.

In the email, titled “My Statement on the Insanity of Transgender Marxist Divide and Conquer Cultural Weapon,” Pearce claims to be stronger than any woman he’s ever met and goes on to say he is primarily talking to radicalized feminists, before calling those will choose to complain to administration about his email “little elementary school children.”

The university says an internal substitute has been brought in as SFU looks into the matter, adding affected students have been sent an email about available support.

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to clarify an internal substitute has been brought in to teach the class while SFU looks into what happened.

Australian vlogger scammed in Manila; shows compassion despite deception
By Palawan News - December 01, 2023

Australian Dwaine Woolley, known in the Philippines as a Filipino-speaking vlogger, experienced a scam in Manila when a tricycle driver charged him P550 for a short trip. Woolley, in response to this incident, advised foreigners traveling in the area to record their journeys on public transport, especially tricycles, to have evidence in case of scams. “Even if you know how much you’re supposed to be charged, scammers will lie to you,” he cautioned. On October 22, while staying at a hotel in Ermita, Woolley decided to visit Robinsons Manila. During his walk to the mall, a tricycle driver offered him a ride for what seemed like a P50 fare.

However, the situation quickly escalated when the driver, after picking up a woman and another man acquainted with him, demanded P550, claiming it was the rate for a “private service.” “Hindi ko kailangang sumakay, puwede ko naman lakarin—it’s a 10-minute walk max. Sumakay na lang ako ng trike niya. Along the way, he stopped to pick up a woman na kilala niya, friend sila. Tapos nag-usap sila, pero hindi alam ng babae na marunong akong mag Tagalog,” Woolley said. Woolley, married to a Filipina, overheard the woman inquiring about his destination. The driver, aware of Woolley’s language proficiency, warned her to stay quiet.

As they neared the mall, the driver feigned a motorcycle breakdown and demanded the inflated fare. “He pulled over to the side of the road. I got out of the trike, and they were trying to work out kung anong nangyari sa motor niya. Sabi ko, ‘Lakarin ko na lang, boss. Malapit lang naman.’ So, I pulled out P100 and I gave it to him,” he said. Woolley said that when he walked away, he was pursued by the driver and the woman, while their companion stayed with the tricycle. They told him that he needed to pay the P550 fare. “I turned around and said, ‘Ano? He said, P550. I was like, P550? Sabi niya opo, sir.’ And then his friends whom he picked up started saying the same thing, ‘Ganyan po talaga dito, P550 ang rate,'” Woolley narrated. To avoid further confrontation, Woolley offered to pay P200, but the driver bargained for P300, which Woolley still found excessive. Eventually, he agreed to pay P250. GMA News later reported that the driver, Joselito Ortiz, was arrested not for Woolley’s incident but for a traffic violation. It was also discovered that Ortiz lacked a valid license and franchise. Ortiz admitted to being the driver from Woolley’s vlog. He explained his actions by stating his nephew was hospitalized at the time, and he needed money for assistance. Woolley, when interviewed, explained that he didn’t file a case because he pitied the driver.

The WaPo layed off more sfaffers.

The liberal propaganda newspaper the Washington Post is laying off hundreds of employees due to ‘economic hardship.’ What a shame.

The paper has seen a drop in digital subscription revenue and is trying to buy out employees to balance the budget.

Perhaps more people would read the paper if they weren’t so obviously Democrat activists pretending to be journalists.

The Hill reports:
Washington Post braces for layoffs

The Washington Post has been able to attain just half of the job reductions it needs to secure before the end of the year, the newspaper’s leadership said this week.

In a note to staff shared with multiple outlets on Tuesday, Post interim CEO Patty Stonesifer said the company had accepted 120 voluntary buyouts as it seeks to cut some 240 jobs across its newsroom.

The Post plans to resort to involuntary layoffs if it does not reach the 240 job threshold by the middle of next month, Stonesifer said.

“These layoffs would offer significantly less generous benefits than the voluntary package and will be consistent with prior layoff packages at The Post,” she wrote.

The Post is just the latest in a slew of media organizations that have announced plans to cut back staff and implement other cost-saving measures amid widespread economic hardship in the media business.
For lying for years, you get what you fuckin' desserve as the Joker might said.

Attorney suspended for pooping in a Pringles can, leaving it in victim advocate's parking lot

Laura A. Bischoff USA TODAY NETWORK
The Ohio Supreme Court suspended an attorney who defecated into a Pringles potato chip can and then tossed it into a parking lot of a crime-victim advocacy center.

Criminal defense attorney Jack A. Blakeslee's conduct called into question his fitness to practice law, the court decided.

Blakeslee's defense? He said he didn't target anyone but had a habit of putting his feces in Pringles cans and randomly throwing them from his car. He claimed he pulled the Pringles prank at least 10 times that year.

But the court didn't buy it and said Blakeslee purposely chose the Haven of Hope in Cambridge, Ohio, as his "drop zone." Surveillance video captured the incident in November 2021.

Blakeslee had known the victim advocates at the center for years and was scheduled to see them in court 15 minutes after the Pringles deposit. At the time, Blakeslee was representing someone accused in a capital murder case.
The court decided to suspend Blakeslee from the practice of law for one year, with six months of that suspension stayed.

Blakeslee has been an attorney since 1976. He had no prior disciplinary action against him.

In determining what punishment to mete out, the court relied on a previous ruling involving "The Naked Photographer" − an Ohio House GOP caucus attorney who photographed more than 30 women as he flashed them.

Steve Linnen was indefinitely suspended in 2006 for that conduct and he pleaded guilty to 53 misdemeanor offenses. He got his law license restored in 2014.

The court also relied on punishment in the case of Scott Blauvelt, a Butler County attorney with a history of public indecency. Blauvelt was indefinitely suspended in 2022.

Laura Bischoff is a reporter for the USA TODAY Network Ohio Bureau, which serves the Columbus Dispatch, Cincinnati Enquirer, Akron Beacon Journal and 18 other affiliated news organizations across Ohio.

Lawyer since 1976… So assuming he passed the bar at 25 (being generous), means he’s 72 years old. And still has enough flexibility to shit in a Pringles can, repeatedly.

That’s a… unique ability

Violent crime is spreading in Detroit suburbs featuring South American gangs.

Violent crime is quickly spreading to suburbia. A new report shows gangs from South America have targeted mansions in wealthy neighborhoods across the Detroit metro area. This comes as the Biden administration's disastrous open border policies have flooded the country with millions of illegal migrants, as well as progressive cities fail to enforce 'common sense' law and order.

WXYZ Detroit reported at least 30 to 40 homes in upscale neighborhoods across Detroit have been targeted by "highly functional and well-trained" gangs from South America this fall.

Thieves are using high-tech "jammers" to disable WiFi home security systems. They're primarily after cash, jewelry, and expensive handbags.
