It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

There's a California teacher who was fired because she refused to read LGBT books to five year olds. WTF?

A California teacher was terminated from her position allegedly because she refused to read books about same-sex marriage to students aged one to five years old, according to a lawsuit filed by the Thomas More Society.

Educator Nelli Parinsenkova is suing Bright Horizons, a nationwide childcare facility, for alleged religious discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, according to a press release from her lawyers. Parinsenkova worked at the Bright Horizons Studio City location in California for four years.

The litigation claims that after the Studio City location director discovered Parinsenkova’s Christian beliefs she “enforced company policy requiring all teachers to support and promote celebrations of ‘diversity’ including same-sex marriage to children in the care program.”
Add another reason why homeschooling is more popular. Btw would they have fired that teacher if she was a Muslim?

Former Bushitter David Frum goes mask off on Twatter; wants to 'nationalize' Starlink because Elon Musk had the gall to demand payment for aiding Ukraine:

Anybody who cites Woodrow Wilson as precedent for executive action deserves is suspect; not to mention that Ukraine is neither a national emergency nor a war entered into by the United States.

We must, of course, be suspicious of Elon Musk's political motives. (((David Frum's))) motives to deprive Elon Musk of control of a business asset for the benefit of (((Volodymyr Zelenskyy))) is pure and above reproach.

I got to agree with that article about Joy Behar, but the trouble with her, she can't adjust her focus.

'The View' Host Joy Behar Finds Voters’ Priorities 'Sad And Depressing'

By Eric Utter

"The View" host Joy Behar recently intimated that she finds the economic concerns of voters "sad and depressing” when compared to the threat to democracy she believes Republicans pose.
The ditzy one added that people simply don't know "what the stakes are" ahead of the midterm elections.
When ABC News political director Rick Klein stated that he believes Republicans were likely going to take the House in the upcoming election, Behar sneeringly asked him, "When your reporters say, you know, you tell me they’re [voters] worried about gas, they’re worried about this, they’re worried about that, do the reporters follow up and say, ‘Do you think the Republicans will be able to fix these things?’"
Well, Joy, voters probably do think that, or else they wouldn’t ne planning to vote for them. And perhaps they’ve paid attention to recent events, compared the quality of their lives currently to what they experienced when Trump was in office, or even have some basic knowledge of, oh, say, all of recorded history.
Think of what “Joy” is effectively saying: "If you all don’t vote the way I, Joy Behar, want you to, it is the end of our democracy.”

How should thank these UN workers for bringing these "migrants" here?

Guatemala City, Guatemala — The United Nations and other aid groups are informing migrants from across the globe how to get to the United States to cross the border illegally, six migrants from Afghanistan told the Daily Caller News Foundation after they were apprehended in Guatemala.
The migrants said that before they arrived in Guatemala that aid workers provided them with maps guiding them to Mexico so that they can reach the U.S. southern border. The men were six of 16 Afghans in the detention facility for foreign migrants in Guatemala City. (RELATED: Massive Migrant Caravan On Its Way To The US Is Forming In Guatemala)
“They give us a map,” one of the Afghan men said. “The map was up to Mexico. There was no United States. But they told how to cross these borders,” one of the Afghan migrants explained.
“But they told us how to go to the U.S. border,” he added.
The aid workers explained which countries have an immigration process for them and which don’t, they said. But not much else was conveyed due to a language barrier.

Monkey wanders into train station in India:

Commuters at a train station in India were unexpectedly joined by a curious money that wandered into the building and went through a security checkpoint.

The video, filmed by a witness at the Nawada Metro Station in Delhi, shows the monkey walking through the turnstiles and strolling right through a security checkpoint, appearing to escape the notice of station personnel.

It was unclear what happened to the monkey once inside the station.

A monkey was previously caught on camera boarding a metro train in Delhi in July.

A 73-year-old convicted sex offender has been charged in connection with the 1966 disappearance and death of a 10-year-old Massachusetts girl, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Donald Mars was arraigned on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Betty Lou Zukowski, who left her Chicopee home on the evening of May 26, 1966 and was found beaten to death several days later in the Westfield River in West Springfield, prosecutors said in Hampden Superior Court in Springfield.

A not guilty plea was entered on Mars' behalf.

His attorney did not object to his client being held without bail, but retained the right to seek bail at a later date. An email seeking comment was left with the defense.

"While this investigation will not bring Betty Lou back to her family, or grant her the opportunity to grow into a healthy adult that she and every child deserves, it is for them and for Betty Lou that we embark upon this journey of seeking justice," Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni said at a news conference after the arraignment.

Betty's Lou's parents, Stanley and Mildred, have died but authorities have been in touch with surviving members of her family, he said.

The cause of death in the then 10-year-old girl, Betty Lou Zukowski, was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head, a skull fracture and terminal drowning, according to investigators.

The victim left her family's Chicopee home after taking a phone call from what she told her parents was a girlfriend, Gulluni said. Her parents reported her missing later that night.

Her "beaten and mud-covered 4-foot-7 inch, 75-pound body was found just offshore by boys fishing in the Westfield River in the town of West Springfield," he said.

"The cause of the death was determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to be multiple blunt force injuries to her head, a skull fracture and terminal drowning," he said.

Because she left her home voluntarily, investigators believe she knew her attacker.

She was laid to rest on June 2, 1966, which would have been her 11th birthday, he said.

Mars, who would have been a teenager at the time of Betty Lou's death, was linked to the killing as long ago as 1997 but was not arrested, Gulluni said. Gulluni's cold case unit refocused on the case in the last few months, he said, although he did not disclose what evidence led to Mars.

According to the state sex offender registry, Mars was convicted of child rape and assault and battery on a child under 14 in 1995. He is listed as a Level 3 sex offender, considered the most likely to reoffend. His most recent address was in Bedford.

He attended the arraignment via video, and although he did not say anything, he shook his head several times as the prosecution read a list of past criminal cases he has been involved in.
