It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Toronto anti-capitalist cafe close after just one year. Nothing of value was lost.
A Toronto cafe for anti-capitalists, "The Anarchist," is permanently shuttering after just 12 months in business after following a "pay-when-you-can" business model.

The Anarchist describes itself as an "anti-capitalist, anti-colonial cafe, shop and radical community space on stolen land."

"Unfortunately, the lack of generational wealth/seed capital from ethically bankrupt sources left me unable to weather the quiet winter season, or to grow in the ways needed to be sustainable longer-term," the owner, Gabriel Sims-Fewer wrote last week.

The Anarchist, which opened for business in March of 2022, went viral last year, with internet users mocking the leftist cafe for charging high prices for its “speciality” coffee as well as selling “radical” art, books, clothing, jewellery, tote bags, and stickers. -Breitbart

Foul play suspected after student worth NT$500 million ($16.3M USD) dies 2 hours after same-sex marriage

Student's mother disputes notion her son was gay and claims he was murdered for his money.

(From Taiwan News)

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The mother of an 18-year-old high school student worth NT$500 million (US$16.32 million) said her son fell to his death just two hours after marrying a man he had met just twice.

The 18-year-old Taichung student named Lai (賴) inherited a property portfolio worth NT$500 million from his father shortly before he fell from a building and died, per CNA. Lai’s mother said at a press conference on Friday (May 19) that her son was invited out by a man named Hsia (夏), an assistant to a land administration agent, to discuss with Lai how to manage the properties.

The pair then went to a household registration office and were legally married. Two hours later, Lai was dead.

Lai’s mother said through tears that her son had only met Hsia twice before his death. She added that she knew nothing about the marriage, and that her son was not gay.

Taichung prosecutors said they questioned Hsia and suspected he had committed a crime, but allowed him release on a NT$300,000 bail. Hsia’s father said he knew nothing of the case and would not comment.

Lai’s mother was accompanied at the press conference by legislators Huang Chien-hao (黃健豪) and Lai Shun-jen (賴順仁), and her lawyer. Huang said that Lai’s family believed he was murdered for money, and appealed to prosecutors to place restrictions on Hsia’s movements to prevent him from fleeing.

Lai's mother said her son had no reason to commit suicide. He had recently been admitted to university. He had also made plans to show his mother a new scooter he had bought, a lawyer representing Lai's mother said.

The deceased Lai’s family background is complicated. This has led some to question the mother’s version of events, per UDN.

Lai’s mother reportedly came to Taiwan from China after a man sought her out to marry his disabled son. While married to the son, Lai’s mother developed a relationship with the father, and the pair had their own son — the (now deceased) Lai, at the center of this story.

After the disabled man to whom Lai's mother was married passed away, Lai’s father applied to adopt him so that they could have a father-son relationship under law.

The legal father-son relationship reportedly facilitated the inheritance of the NT$500 million that Lai possessed when he died. An autopsy on Lai has been completed, but a report has not yet been released.

What a fun family. The mom is a mail-order bride; the boy's dad is also his grandad. And he is so retarded he'd marry another man just because he was told.

Ledger Crypto wallet newest firmware has added a "recovery" system to extract your keys essentially making them a hot wallet now. The tsunami of some pajeet signed me up then immediately stole all my coins should be entertaining.

"Technically speaking it is and always has been possible to write firmware that facilitates key extraction. You have always trusted Ledger not to deploy such firmware whether you knew it or not," Ledger said earlier on a now-deleted tweet.

The British continue to be top level faggots. Yesterday Ashley Liles, an IT Security analyst employed at Oxford BioMedica, plead guilty after 5 years to joining in on a ransomware attack the company were hit by in 2018. Evidence showed unauthorized access to change the BTC payment address which ended up being linked back to his home address after investigation took place when the details for ransom changed.

Not only did he fuck up his life and any chance at a career by being a colossal retard and doing all of this from his home on personal devices with shit security, all while forensics teams were already going through logs and heightened monitoring was being done across the company network following a ransomware attack, he also completely failed to completely wipe evidence. Digital forensics successfully recovered enough data from seized assets to arrest him. :story:

How the fuck retarded do you have to be to link a BTC address to your home address? In fact how do you even do that at all?

What likely got him caught was doing it all from his actual home IP. That would have been seen in the company firewall and DNS logs when that analyst changed the BTC address in the initial contact/across all other activity from the original ransomware adversary group. Even if he did it from his own device, if he was stupid enough to do it without a tunneling method like a VPN/Proxy/TOR etc (which seems to be the case), it would be easy to take all IPs found in the detected unauthorized access and run a search across other general logs to find any hits, which you would do in the first place to see what else they accessed while they were in the network.

My bet is the analysts working on the incident found an IP match between the BTC address change and his sign in logs when he worked from home or checked emails on his phone at home and they nailed him that way. Average enterprise log retention is anywhere from 3 - 6 months so it's the most likely way they got him. That or if he set up his own proxy, it's complete garbage and exposes his actual IP.

The U.S. Coast Guard has ended their search for a Louisiana teenager who went overboard during a sunset cruise in the Bahamas on Wednesday night.

They have a gofundme as well, for some reason. (They should probably pay back the coast guard, and also, why the fuck is the U.S. coast guard in the Bahamas?)

I don't think it was a prank -- my theory is he saw Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 below the waves and jumped off to get the black box.

It's not actually part of the United States, but they have the U.S. dollar as one of their official currencies and we have generally had a pretty close relationship with the country, even though they're technically part of the Commonwealth.

Mexico opened a new consulate in Oklahoma City. For some people it might be a small story but for others, it might be more than meet the eyes.
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, yet another of those white Mexicans, who might be Mexico’s next president, just visited Oklahoma and Florida, both of which have Republican governors. It was bad enough that he attended the opening of a consulate aka Reconquista Staging Area in Oklahoma City. But in Florida, he openly campaigned against the state’s new immigration laws that require, among other things, employers to use E-Verify. Strangely, the GOP/GAP does not seem to have noticed this open meddling in U.S. affairs. Is it asleep?

The Consulate In Oklahoma City

As I have written repeatedly through the years, Mexican consulates are centers of Mexican meddling. They defend illegal aliens, promote dual citizenship and claim sovereignty over American citizens of Mexican ancestry. Mexico has planted 52 two of these subversion centers on American soil, the largest consular network in the world.

Thankfully, my home state of Oklahoma didn’t have one, at least until recently.

And that wasn’t a hardship for Mexicans residing in the Sooner State. Five neighboring states have consulates. From Oklahoma City, it’s just about five hours to Little Rock and Kansas City and three hours to Dallas. Mexicans tend to drive fast, so the drive times are less than they would be for Americans! (And I’m only half-joking about that.)

The point is, Oklahoma didn’t need a consulate. But Republican Governor Kevin Stitt and Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt didn’t agree, so they campaigned for a consulate in Mexico City. In 2021, Stitt even traveled to Mexico, Made-In-China sombrero in hand, to lobby for one. And Stitt and Holt got what they wanted: an outpost of Mexican meddling in the capital city.

Congratulations. Good job, Treason Lobbyists!

California couple rescues kitten from sewer

A California couple came to the rescue of a kitten they heard crying for help from a sewer and nursed the abandoned animal back to health.

Eric Thomas and Angelina Johnson of Burbank said they were driving in North Hollywood when they heard their call to action.

"It happened to be hot that day, so I rolled down my window and the light turned red," Thomas told KABC-TV. "I heard something like an animal was dying; it kept screaming."

Johnson detailed in an Instagram post how she and Thomas stopped to investigate and soon realized a kitten was trapped in a sewer at the side of the road.

"Literally my husband jumped down and just grabbed her, because time was of the essence," Johnson said.

The couple took the kitten home for a bath and some food.

"She kept eating and then she just kept eating. I was like, 'She's going to eat herself to death. Can we stop?' She must have been starving for a week," Johnson said.

The couple said they were able to find the kitten a new forever home.

"A lot of people were interested, but we screened the people before and we found a wonderful home for her," Johnson said. "She's safe, secure and also has a sibling now."

Youtube reversed their policy to allow misinformation election denialist.

In a reversal of its election integrity policy, YouTube will leave up content that says fraud, errors or glitches occurred in the 2020 presidential election and other U.S. elections, the company confirmed to Axios Friday.

Why it matters: YouTube established the policy in December 2020, after enough states had certified the 2020 election results. Now, the company said in a statement, leaving the policy in place may have the effect of "curtailing political speech without meaningfully reducing the risk of violence or other real-world harm."

  • "Two years, tens of thousands of video removals, and one election cycle later, we recognized it was time to reevaluate the effects of this policy in today's changed landscape," YouTube said in a statement.
  • "With that in mind, and with 2024 campaigns well underway, we will stop removing content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches occurred in the 2020 and other past US Presidential elections."
