It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

The French government is considering banning the foreign financing of mosques in response to the numerous terrorist attacks that have struck France recently.
This is a REALLY good idea and I sincerely hope that they go through with it. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States are directly responsible for the radicalization of countless Muslims worldwide thanks to their relentless proselytizing of Wahhabism/Salafism; I already wrote a post about it here. Saudi Arabia funds mosques and madrassas in foreign countries which are then staffed by Wahhabists, who propagate an ideology of hated toward the "unbelievers," or literally everyone who isn't a Wahhabi Muslim. I really recommend reading up on it, it's absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Back in 2010, the St. Paul Superintendent of schools noticed that black students were getting in trouble much more often. Naturally, this was the fault of racism and white privilege, so she decided to combat this problem by politely asking the misbehaving students not to misbehave, and mainstreamed the (overwhelmingly black) sped behavioral problem students. Critics were called racists and pushed out.

Guess how that ended?

People should not look at the children, they are an end result. Solving the problems starts at their homes.

It doesn't matter what teachers try to do. So long as kids are living in a dysfunctional environment filled with poverty, violence, and overworked or downright absent parents than their schooling will suffer. If you talk to most teachers in poor, majority black, schools they'll tell you the same shit. Unless the economic and social situation in these communities improves in general the schools are going to suck and the kids aren't going to give a shit. We're talking about kids living with crack addicts and dodging bullets on the way home and shit. Last thing they care about is reading The Giver and doing their math homework.

Bullshit. There are poor parents who want their kids to succeed, and they do everything they can to support their kids. Unfortunately a number of them are in areas where 95% of the other parents don't give a fuck. If anything the parents would have a fit if their welfare payment providers were corrected in any way.

If the kids were white they'd be arrested without question because their actions would be correctly viewed as the behavior of trash. But you can't do that when they're black.

Both of you are right, but those poor parents are very few, especially in "da ghetto". Here in Hungary I think to qualify for any welfare at all, you have to have a job and your kids need to go to school. Except of course for cripples and the pensioners. So no more free gibsmuh.

I'm surprised Hungary and Russia are so low, but that is most likely due to the fact that only the younger population knows one end of a computer from the other.
