It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

A drunken Florida man reportedly caught fire after the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The 27-year-old man, whose name has not yet been released to the public, was rushed to the hospital with third-degree burns after he tried to wear a Cowboys jersey he set ablaze as part of an alleged agreement, according to the Sebastian Daily.

A witness told the outlet the jersey burning occurred as the result of a bet the man lost against his wife following the Cowboys' defeat Sunday night. "He was set on fire after losing a bet on the Cowboys game," the witness said. "Skin was hanging off his arm and back."

Apparently, when his wife's team, the Packers, bested the Cowboys 35-31, the man went outside to incinerate his jersey. And, at some point, he decided to put on the burning jersey. Fortunately, family members were able to yank the jersey off of him and quickly transport him to a nearby hospital.

For many fans, it looked like the Cowboys were going to win Sunday's game when the team lead 31-28 with 1:13 remaining. That was until Packers QB Aaron Rodgers led his team down the field for a touchdown pass to Davante Adams, which gave Green Bay a 35-31 win.

If the Cowboys were able to hang on, there may not have been hospital trip for this Florida couple at all.

Football fans are no sissies.

But who would bet for something like that? What sadist would bet against someone like that? Football really is a divisive sport.

And yet he is still leagues ahead of @Techpriest in terms of honoring his bets. Really puts things in perspective. If Florida man can set himself on fire to fulfill a bet, then eating a hat should be a piece of cake.
He went to that great big ushanka hat in the sky, where he can talk about his love for Soviet military shit for eternity. Also, pic related:

Child ‘forced to stand on bus as last pram space was taken by cat in buggy’

A mum was apparently told to make her child stand on a bus because a cat in a pram was taking up the last pushchair space. Mia Jade Wilson, 26, was on a First bus to Leeds on October 6 when she heard the driver telling the mum to either fold up her pram and make the child stand, or wait for another bus. This was because one of the spaces was taken up by a large cat in a buggy, and Mia was in the second slot with her one-year-old. The maximum number of prams allowed on board the bus was two. School gives pupils alarm clocks so phones don't interrupt their sleep ‘I just found it ridiculous that a cat in a pram would take priority over a child in a pram,’ Mia said. ‘The driver on the bus said she either had to wait for the next bus or fold her pram down, and she had loads of things under her pram, making it hard for her to fold down. ‘The driver just said only two prams are allowed on at any one time. I even turned to the lady with the cat and asked her if she could move to the other side. ‘I told the driver there was a cat in the pram, not a baby and he just said that the lady had to fold the pram down or not get on – but he didn’t say much to be honest.’

Other passengers were reportedly ‘rolling their eyes’ in dismay as the unnamed mum attempted to fold up her buggy. Mia said: ‘No matter which way you look at it, I just think it’s wrong that a cat has priority on the bus over the child. ‘Surely there was another way of transporting a cat, like a standard cat carrier like most people use. That way, it could have either gone under the seat or on her lap, meaning that valuable space is free for people that actually need it.’

It is not known what breed the cat was. Some breeds, such as Maine Coons and Norwegian Forest Cats, require much larger modes of transportation to accommodate their large sizes. A spokesperson from First Leeds said: ‘We’re sorry to hear that some customers disagreed with the decision made by one of our drivers and we have therefore launched an investigation into this complaint. ‘There is limited space on board our buses and therefore some customers will be asked to fold down their pushchairs before boarding. ‘With the exception of assistance dogs, animals can only travel on board our services if they are secure.’
