It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Authorities say a 325-pound (150-kilogram) woman is charged with killing a 9-year-old girl by sitting on the child as punishment.

The Pensacola News Journal reports that 64-year-old Veronica Green Posey was arrested and charged with homicide and cruelty toward a child. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office report identifies Posey as the girl’s cousin.

Paramedics and deputies responded to the family’s Pensacola home following a 911 call on Saturday. Posey told deputies she was sitting on Dericka Lindsay because the girl was out of control. During the punishment, Dericka told Posey and two other adult relatives identified as her parents that she couldn’t breathe. When Posey got up, Dericka wasn’t breathing.

The parents face neglect charges.

Posey was released Monday on $125,000 bail. Escambia County jail records didn’t list an attorney.

“We came here to live as human beings…. free of the corporations that [control] countries…. we’re human beings, we belong in the sun. I belong in the tropics. I’m a tropical human being, you cannot stop me from being on the earth. I don’t belong to Costa Rica….. I don’t belong to America…. I belong to the earth”

Eligio, who says he left America for Costa Rica because blacks in America do not have any rights or freedom, is the founder and leader of a movement he calls “reflection”, which teaches that Corporations and technology are evil and we need to be one with the earth and live in jungles to enjoy life to its fullest. The group also rejects the validity of borders, passports, visas and any other documents that “control” human actions (which is why they chose not to enter Costa Rico legally).

Since arriving in Costa Rica, Eligio has uploaded several videos to his Facebook profile of him and his followers exploring several jungles and beaches on Costa Rican soil……until their encounter with authorities. The group was picked up by Costa Rican authorities and handed over to immigration officers who transported them to a safe house where they refused to leave their bus because they don’t recognize the authority of law enforcement.

The group was eventually forcefully removed from the bus, placed in handcuffs and jailed. A recent update from Eligio’s Facebook page says they are currently locked up in Costa Rica’s capital city, awaiting the US embassy to come take them home. The deportation process will see them locked up for another 2 to 3 weeks.

Eligio uploaded the following video to Facebook appealing to his followers to contact news personalities and the media to help spread the word of the horrible oppression they are suffering. I honestly advise watching the full video just to get a glimpse of how delusion this man and his followers are:

Local media reports described Martinez as a “family friend” of the 10-year-old victim.

Martinez told police that the girl had been “talking crap” and dismissed the accusations as a “publicity stunt,” according to local reports.

Martinez faces charges of one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The trial is expected to last four days, according to the Billings Gazette.

MARILYN MANSON co-founder and original guitarist Scott Putesky, a.k.a. Daisy Berkowitz, has passed away after a long battle with stage-four colon cancer.

The 49-year-old musician found out he had cancer when he underwent a colonoscopy in August 2013 after nearly six years of mysterious abdomen pains, some of which were severe enough to land him in the emergency room.

Putesky performed on MARILYN MANSON's "Portrait of An American Family" and "Smells Like Children" albums before leaving the group in 1996 over creative differences during the writing sessions for what became the "Antichrist Superstar" LP. Putesky went on to join JACK OFF JILL, GODHEAD and later launched his own band called THREE TON GATE.

In a 2014 interview with Noisey, Putesky stated about his exit from MARILYN MANSON: "I left because I wasn't getting the respect and appreciation and work I deserved. I did a lot of demos more or less a year before we started recording. When we started recording, I had about ten or a dozen demos for Brian [Warner, Marilyn Manson's real name] to listen to so we could develop something. I don't know if he listened to any of them, but he never wanted to work on any of them. We had a number of unreleased songs that were contenders for 'Antichrist' that Brian didn't want to do or ['Antichrist Superstar' producer] Trent [Reznor] didn't want to record, so I was being slowly muscled out as far as my contribution. And, that's pretty much it."

During the same chat, Putesky said that fighting cancer didn't really change his perspective on life and music. "It's become a huge annoyance," he said. "It really gets in the way. It doesn't get in the way with the kind of work I do, but the amount of work I do. When I started chemotherapy in September 2013, I thought I would have down time where I could relax and work on music or artwork. But, I quickly realized that downtime would mean extreme fatigue where I didn't really feel like doing anything. The most I could do was catch up on movies. I didn't realize how much it would take out of me. I have lots of plans that have just gone to the bottom of the things-to-do list."

In 2004, Marilyn Manson settled a lawsuit against Putesky and Empire Musicwerks Records over the distribution of an album and DVD of material from Manson's early band THE SPOOKY KIDS. In the suit, Manson alleged that the album and DVD made unauthorized use of illustrations from Manson's book "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell" and the musicians' likenesses. The suit also alleged that the purported infringements constituted a breach of an October 1998 settlement agreement related to Putesky's exit from the band. In June 2004, Empire Musicwerks announced that it would remove all artwork with Manson's likeness from the album and DVD.

JACK OFF JILL mourned Putesky's passing on Sunday (October 22), writing on Facebook: "Saying good bye to Scott, friend, band mate, artist, hero...RIP Scott – 'always touched by your presence dear.'"

The sad thing is that he probably didn't had to die. He had abdominal pains for six years before he sought treatment. Remember kids, if you have chronic stomach pains see a doctor. Because it could be a lot more than just a weak stomach.

This news comes on top of Marilyn Manson being squashed by a stage prop and Jack Off Jill singer Jessicka Addams claiming that she was raped by Jeordie White (also known as Twiggy Ramirez) back in the 90s and being told to keep quiet or risk being blacklisted and lose her record deal.

I'm just trying to figure out who in their right mind would look at Twiggy Ramirez and think "Yeah. That's the guy I want to date". Trent Reznor was in South Florida around this time and we all went out on night. Trent and I struck up a conversation and Jeordie became so enraged he demanded we leave immediately. He began driving my car erratically on the highway, all the while punching me the chest several times,knocking the air out of my lungs. He proceeded to rip off the rear view mirror and threw it out the open window. Throughout the madness, this was a rather poignant moment. He just couldn’t bear to face himself in that mirror. So he proceeded to destroy it. Perhaps after everything he had done to somebody he claimed he loved was the sick reason he needed to become somebody else.
I feared for my life that night. I stayed awake while he slept. At this point I wanted to leave him, but at this time most of my friends who had not moved away were also too enmeshed in the Manson camp to find a way to do the right thing and stand up for me. No one was comfortable speaking about it, let alone thinking of exposing to the world the horror I was dealing with.

Jeordie returned home to what was just Pete's apartment, as I was now staying with friends. I knew at that point that Jeordie had not been faithful on tour, including being with women whom I to this day respect and considered my musical contemporaries. A First Nations man accused of smuggling a pair of handguns into Canada at Osoyoos opened his trial Monday by declaring the judge and court has no jurisdiction over him.

Alex Louie — also known as Senk’lip — verbally wrangled with Judge Arne Silverman repeatedly in Penticton court, refusing to enter a plea to each of the nine counts read against him.

“I object in regards to the jurisdiction of this court, so asking me that before you prove your jurisdiction is putting the cart before the horse,” he said.

Senk’lip is accused of attempting to smuggle two CF380 Hi Point handguns into Canada at the Osoyoos crossing on Feb. 1, 2017 by wiring them to the bottom of his vehicle.

A 12-person jury was selected Monday for the week long trial, in which the Crown expects to call four witnesses. However, the jury was absent for the afternoon so Senk’lip — who is representing himself — could formally make his jurisdiction argument.

“It is not the duty of Indian peoples to prove we are citizens of our nation, the burden of proof is on the judge to prove I Senk’lip… am a Canadian citizen," he said, adding for the court to continue to assume jurisdiction over Indian peoples constitutes "high treason."

The lack of a treaty between the Crown and his First Nation was the cornerstone of Senk’lip's argument, which repeatedly referenced the residential school system, 60s scoop and genocide of First Nations. He also attempted to renounce his Canadian citizenship.

Crown prosecutor Clarke Burnet rebutted Senk’lip by referencing multiple previous rulings that stated everyone on Canadian soil — citizen or not — is bound by the country’s laws.

Judge Silverman will be taking the evening to consider Senk’lip’s jurisdiction argument before deciding whether to let the trial proceed with the jury on Tuesday
