It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Sonic Gather Battle was a sonic fangame released years ago (one thread suggesting as early as 2011). When you start the game up, there's a disclaimer full of engrish warning users to not attempt any extraction of the games edited sprites:

Just a few days ago, it became apparent that this disclaimer has a pretty huge consequence for those who ignore its warning, and then some.

To put it simply: this fangame uses malware as a form of DRM. Once the game is booted up for the first time it will monitor your computer processes and will trigger the protection under the following circumstances
  • You open up cheat-engine whilst the game is open
  • You google "Sonic Gather Battle Cheats/Mods/Hacks" after installation
  • The game glitches out (which is likely since the game is made by a sonic-loving jap)
If triggered, the game will change its tileset and create enemies that are invincible:

This is permenant, but that's not all. If you instead try to edit the windows registry files this happens:

BUT HOO BOY, THAT'S NOT EVEN THE MOST AUTISTIC PART!

You see, the game uses a .dll to connect to the internet. Once the protection is activated in either Blue or Red form, it allegedly connects to the developer database and puts you on a blacklist. The only way to currently get whitelisted is to contact the developers friend and prove your innocence.

All of this was so that the dev could protect his sprite edits from a gameboy advanced sonic game released over a decade ago.

Unsurprisingly the sonic community is shitting itself with the reddit thread on this controversy and a really blurry discord PSA blowing up overnight (archive).

Go and infect to the extreme!

Makes me wonder what this guy looks like. I imagine a creepy guy with greasy hair, eyebags the size of the cosmos and an old bootleg sonic t-shirt

Just when I think that the fanbase that helped birth Chris-chan couldn't get any worse.
Sonic fangames are already malicious enough.

A B.C. teacher has learned the hard way to not use his work computer to view porn.

According to a recently released consent resolution released by the B.C. Teacher Regulation branch, Jeffrey Rohin Muthanna was hit with a pornographic internet “pop-up” advertisement while his laptop was connected to a projector in front of his grade 6/7 class on June 2, 2016.

He had been using the computer to view pornography in off-work hours for the previous two years.

The following September, Muthanna was issued a 13 day suspension and letter of discipline. On Nov. 3, 2017, he formally agreed to the suspension and agreed to the reprimand from the teachers regulation branch.

The B.C. Teacher Regulation report does not disclose the school district Muthanna is employed at.

So either he had the browser open at that time or his dumb ass got malware in the district network lol.

Judge prohibits ex-Speaker Hastert from pornography, sex chat lines in new order (Archive)
CHICAGO — A federal judge has tightened conditions for the supervised release of former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, including barring him from possessing pornography and limiting the contact he can have with minors.

The modified conditions were entered Tuesday into the court docket and lay out the new conditions for Hastert. The ex-speaker was convicted in 2015 for illegal structuring of bank withdrawals as part of an effort to pay hush money to a former student he sexually abused during his days as a high school wrestling coach.

It is unclear what prompted the judge, Thomas Durkin, to add the new conditions which prohibit Hastert from using or possessing “any pornographic, sexually oriented, or sexually stimulating materials, including visual, auditory, telephonic, or electronic media, computer programs, or services.”

[...]

The modified conditions also specifically prohibit Hastert from using any sex-related telephone numbers or having any contact with anyone under 18, except in the presence of an adult who is aware of Hastert’s background.
This order's interesting because Hastert wasn't actually convicted for his kiddie diddling, just for masking his hush money payouts in an illegal structuring scheme (fun fact: the victim is now suing Hastert because he only paid out $1.8M of a promised $3.5M and he wants the rest. I don't even know how that works). He's now barred from having any porn whatsoever, from calling sex hotlines, and from being in the presence of minors without supervision cognizant of his kiddie diddling ways. Any computer he uses has to run monitoring software and he has to turn over all of his bills on request to verify he isn't so much as watching a titty flick on Netflix. Can Big Denny just not keep his hands off little boys? Is another shoe about to drop?

Forget Sonichu. This is the purist form of Sonic autism in existence.

This guy edited some sprites that weren't even his own original art. They are from a game owned by Sega. But don't you dare try to rip them or use any cheats. Otherwise you will get a virus and "OW THE EDGE" graphics.

An update to that Decapitated rape case I posted about months ago: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/al...released-from-jail-while-awaiting-rape-trial/

The band was accused of kidnapping and raping a fan on their tour bus. The whole thing is dripping with "listen and believe". It may just be a case of feeling guilty over having disgusting groupie sex with an entire band. I'm not saying they are or aren't guilty. But either way, with the #metoo thing it couldn't come at a worse time for them.

The band was released without bond on the condition that they surrender their passports and stay in the US for the January 16th trial. They also had to sign extradition wavers in the case that they do somehow return to Poland.

According to The Spokesman-Review, all four members of the Polish death metal band DECAPITATED have been released from jail as they await trial for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman on their tour bus three months ago.

35-year-old guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka, who was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape, was released on Monday, while 27-year-old drummer Michal Lysejko, 31-year-old singer Rafal Piotrowski and 30-year-old bassist Hubert Wiecek were released on November 22.

Piotrowski was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape, Wiecek was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape, and Lysejko was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape.

As part of their release conditions, the musicians were ordered to stay in Washington and were required to turn in their passports. In the event that they do return to Poland, they were ordered to sign waivers of extradition, meaning they were agreeing to be extradited to the U.S.

The DECAPITATED members were released on their own recognizance and did not have to post a bond.

Their trial will begin on January 16.

The woman alleged she was gang-raped by the musicians in their tour bus bathroom after DECAPITATED's August 31 concert with THY ART IS MURDER at The Pin concert venue in downtown Spokane as part of the two bands' "Double Homicide" tour. The woman said entered the bus for drinks with the band before each member forced themselves on her.

Deputies later stated the victim had "significant bruising to her upper arms consistent with being restrained" and "small abrasions on her knuckles that were scabbed over."

All four members of DECAPITATED were arrested on September 9 in Santa Ana, California after performing at the Observatory. They were held in Los Angeles County Jail before being extradited to Spokane.

DECAPITATED announced in September that it was canceling all previously announced tour dates. The band also publicly denied the accusations.

In a statement, the DECAPITATED members said that "the original officer who took the complaint from the accuser stated, 'I do not have probable cause that a rape occurred.'" They added that they were "confident that once the facts and evidence have been seen and heard, they will be released and able to return home."

Here's the story itself: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2017/sep/11/polish-metal-band-decapitated-accused-of-gang-rapi/

It's kind of strange that the victim's friend left her on the bus despite seeing her be raped, drove away and did not call the police. It was only after she was pulled over for a DUI that she used her phone to call her friend and then reported the rape to the officer. It's all very sketchy. If your friend was raped and you got away wouldn't the first thing on your mind be to contact the police? Was the club still open? She could have asked for security to help her.

This hasn't gotten a ton of attention because the band isn't mainstream pop or rap. But it has still gotten a fair amount.

I imagine something went on. Whether it was a product of guilt from living out a death metal gang bang fantasy or rape remains to be seen. Two members of the band declined to give DNA samples. I'm guessing the guys who did maybe didn't have sex with her. I don't know much about when you should or shouldn't give a sample though. I certainly wouldn't without a lawyer's advice or a translator if there was a language barrier.

The girl is dumb for getting on a tour bus in the first place. Especially with foreign guys who may not comprehend English so well. That doesn't mean she deserves to be a victim. But it does mean she should have exercised some common sense. Hopefully with all the news stories now girls will realise more clearly that just because someone is famous doesn't mean it's different from any random person when you put yourself in a potentially dangerous position. And if the band is not guilty (they were a bit sketchy as well) then this woman should be ashamed for trying to shed her gang bang guilt by accusng the band of rape.

I found this gem of a comment in the Blabbermouth article though. Behold the exceptionalism!

I would guess alcohol messed up her decision-making.
