It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Even though I really feel for her, she went hiking with high chances of flash flood.
Yeah. It's unfortunate but you really don't want to be fucking around on wet sandstone.

Heights don't generally get to me but there's something about people falling into/off of natural wonders that holds a particular horrifying fascination. With the amount of overcrowding at both Zion and the Grand Canyon I'm surprised there aren't more people unintentionally slipping a thousand feet.

In 2008, she gave one of X-Factor’s most memorable auditions, clashing with judges Cheryl Tweedy and Simon Cowell.

Touching tributes poured in from shocked pals after the popular reality TV contestant’s death.

Andrew Smalling, 35, knew Amy from the Chemic Tavern pub, in Wodehouse, Leeds, where she lived.

He told Sun Online: “We were shocked when we heard she’d died. She’d struggled with demons for a while.

“I think she regretted appearing on X Factor because she actually a decent musician and it sort of tainted her.”

Her cause of death is not yet known but West Yorkshire Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.

“Hers was one of those memorable TV moments.

“It’s so very sad she has died.”

Ariel had one of the hit ITV show’s most unforgettable auditions, ripping off her ID number when she came on.

During her appearance 11 years ago, she told Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue Cheryl Tweedy and Louis Walsh she was a “holistic vocal coach”.

She clashed with Cheryl, branding her “stupid” and insisted to the judges she was “a human being, not a number”.

But the Love Made Me Do It singer told Ariel she was “scary” and said “by the way you walked over to me I thought we were gonna have a scrap”.

Ariel, who was 26 at the time, told the judges to “shove a bit of metal right up their a**”, as she was escorted out of the studio by a burly security guard.

‘ARIEL DEAD’
She also went by the name Arabella Starchild after her famous audition.
A pal of Ariel’s posted on Facebook: “It is with great sadness that I post this, as I have only just found out myself.

“A some time member of the moot, Amy Burdett aka Arabella Starchild passed to the Summerlands earlier this month.”

Tributes poured in from wellwishers and fans on Twitter.

One person tweeted: “RIP Ariel Burdett, the iconic Holistic Vocal Coach who provided one of the most legendary moments on TV.

“She was a generalist, not specialist, she was a human being, not a number.

“Her voice did many things and she will be dearly missed.”

Another posted: “Ariel Burdett is dead omg. Despite not getting through and whatnot, she was talked about more than most contestants and will forever be an x factor legend! RIP

And a third wrote: “Really sad to hear about Ariel Burdett aka the Holistic Vocal Coach passing away.

Got here from an interesting discussion on a forum I lurk, however riddled with troll's remorse it was. I guess I could believe she killed herself out of people thinking she was a worse singer than she really was, and weens refusing to leave her alone on Facebook, but part of me still doesn't buy it. She clearly had other personal issues too, a few people poking at you won't magically make you not want to live.

Ironically the biggest death/injury count in Zion comes from the slot canyons during flash floods. You're more likely to get caught in a flood than you are to fall.

I think for every fall there are five people who get swept up in the waters? Something like that.

Taylor Swift is now a terrorist in addition to being a massive slut.

Scooter Braun Asks for Meeting With Taylor Swift— “I Am Right Here, Ready to Speak Directly and Respectfully”

Just a few days before Taylor Swift took the stage at the American Music Awards where, in addition to performing she took home an armful of trophies, including the coveted Artist of the Year and Artist of the Decade, the head of her former record label, Scooter Braun, spoke at the 2019 Entertainment Industry Conference addressing the issues between Taylor and Big Machine.

According to Variety, during a Q&A session at the conference, Scooter said, “I think that these problems that are being discussed can be discussed behind closed doors and figured out pretty easily, and it’s something I’ve wanted to do for six months.”

However, later in the evening, he went on social media and addressed another alleged issue that has arisen since the rift between Taylor and Big Machine began in July. In an open letter, he revealed that the safety of his family and staff is now in question.

Scooter wrote, “Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family. This morning I spoke out publicly for the first time saying I wouldn’t participate in a social media war. However, I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children as well as other threats seen above. I won’t go into the details of this past week. I have been at a loss. Thinking of my wife and children, my team and their families, I have gone through a range of emotions on how to deal with this. I write this now only after a deep breath and much reflection. I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardizing anyone’s safety.”

This guy is an absolute cunt. He bought up the rights to all of her early music knowing she hates his guts and is now acting like he's amazed she isn't happy about that. Fuck this guy. He's doing it to make money, not to be her fucking friend, and if he decided to play hardball and got cyberbowlied why the fuck should I shed a tear for him? Act like a fucking man you pussy.

Didn't Michael Jackson buy up a ton of Beatles music? It's a pretty normal practice.

The Beatles didn't specifically hate Michael Jackson. He didn't do it just to hatefuck them, but because they were worth a lot of money. Incidentally, Sony ratfucked him viciously trying to get to that catalog while he was alive, but ultimately only ended up with it after he died. Some speculate they had something to do with setting him up for prosecution to try to force him to sell.

Japanese store reviews plan for staff to wear menstruation badges after public outcry

A Japanese department store is reconsidering a plan for employees to wear badges when they're menstruating, which was originally aimed at fostering sympathy among co-workers but triggered a public outcry.

The Daimaru Umeda department store in the city of Osaka said on Thursday (local time) that it had hoped to encourage bonding by having menstruating staff wear a badge featuring an existing manga character named "Seiri Chan" — loosely translated as "Miss Period".

"We received many complaints from the public. Some of them concerned harassment, and that was definitely not our intention," said a male executive, who declined to be named.

"We're reconsidering plans now."
A spokesperson was not immediately available.

The backlash comes as cases of workplace harassment have come under the spotlight in Japan, amid a shrinking workforce and changing values about gender roles and work-life balance.

Companies are increasingly and publicly being criticised for bullying and gender discrimination.

The Daimaru executive said the store had not intended to make the badge compulsory.

Hawaii man cyberstalked Utah family for months, sending plumbers, locksmiths and hundreds of others to their home, feds say

(CNN)A Hawaii man is accused of conducting an elaborate cyberstalking campaign against a Utah woman and her father by sending unwanted repairmen, food deliveries and other visitors to their home.

The father estimates that between August 2018 and March more than 500 people came to their North Salt Lake home at the alleged stalker's behest, and that some of the visits stemmed from the suspect "posting the family's address on Craigslist stating that the homeowner wants drugs and prostitutes to come to the house," according to a federal motion to detain the suspect.

Loren Okamura, 44, is charged with two counts of cyberstalking, two counts of transporting an individual to engage in prostitution and a count of interstate threats, court documents show.

There are few details available about the transporting-for-prostitution charges. US Attorney John Huber declined to provide information during a news conference, and Okamura's indictment says only that in June and July of 2018, he is accused of transporting the Utah woman he allegedly stalked to Hawaii with the intent that she "engage in prostitution."

As for the threat counts, Okamura is accused of contacting the woman and, according to the indictment, telling her in an email: "Sleep with one eye open and keep looking over your shoulder you crazy bitch we are coming for you and your dumba** daddy and crazy a** mommy."

Okamura also allegedly told her, "You should just kill yourself and do your family a favor already."

The motion to detain also alleges that in January 2019, "Okamura left egregious amounts of unwanted voicemails on the adult woman's voicemail, including multiple messages per day."

Okamura allegedly continued the stalking even after the family obtained cease-and-desist orders and a civil stalking injunction in Utah, court documents say.

Okamura had a detention hearing Wednesday in Honolulu. According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, he waived his right to a detention hearing in Hawaii, opting to instead have it in Utah.

Prosecutors have asked that he remain detained until he can be transported to Utah to stand trial.

The Office of the Public Defender in Honolulu, which is reportedly representing Okamura, was closed for Thanksgiving. He is being held without bail in the custody of the United States Marshals Service, court records show.

Authorities declined to reveal why Okamura allegedly selected the Utah family to harass and intimidate, but Huber told reporters they were not random victims.

"It's really extreme stalking," Huber said. "I'll tell you what made this an important case for Utah is that a family ... was tormented with hundreds of incidents and a course of conduct that really changed their life and even their own neighborhood -- so the victimization expanded beyond a person or home to an entire neighborhood. We' re not going to let that stand."

The stalking became so problematic that the family installed a bright yellow sign in front of their home, put a lock on their gate and even at one point parked a North Salt Lake Police car in their driveway, local media reported.

"If you have been asked to provide any services at this address such as Car Tow, Home Repair, Locksmith, Plumbing, Food Deliveries or anything else, please call the North Salt Lake Police," the yellow sign read. "We are all victims of this scam."

Okamura was indicted in October and arrested last Friday, court documents show.

Sgt. Jeffrey Plank with the Utah Department of Public Safety's cybercrime unit traveled to Hawaii last week and worked with agents from the FBI's Honolulu office to arrest Okamura, he said.

The hunt for Okamura took about 15 hours, he said, because the suspect had no permanent address or place of employment. He also used a phone app to "spoof location data," the motion to detain says.

Police eventually arrested Okamura at a supermarket without incident, Plank said.
