Also bonus fact, after metokur died, he and Habermann decided to make a let’s play channel and used metokur.com domain as an advertisement for it, but after getting a lot of shit for it their whole project was cancelled

The comments kind of remind me of Autistic Thunderdome posters. However, the topic and controversy stems from an extremely shallow and gay place: parasocial relationships mixed with the ill sense of entitlement. YouTube is not a feedback loop platform, if it were, YouTube would never have gotten rid of the video response option on YouTube all those years back. Could be argued that Google created the first "quote tweet" with that feature of the past.

I saw someone on twitter say that IH not crediting the og writer of the Cave video the first time around is the absolute worst thing that could happen in the creative space. Had a bit of a giggle over that; half expected a tweet to pop up saying how random X creator sent his dick pics to a 12-year old.

I also understand IH and the writer came to an understanding, so why bring it up now? Is it truly to point our his ties to 4chan shitposting aka literally nahzees and Trump 2.0?

The accusation against IH is mercifully a relatively short part of the video, just under half an hour. To cut a long story short, the accusation of plagiarism is actually valid, as IH copied both the format (the hour by hour structure) and several passages from the article, with the words changed a bit, originally without crediting it in the video or the description. The website where the article was published filed a copyright claim and the video got taken down, and it got put back up a few months later with more words changed and with sources, including the article, credited in the video and description.

It's very much a hit piece, though, even if the accusation is valid. Harry deliberately makes out IH to be a right-wing extremist to rile up his own SJW followers, and portrays IH as deliberately trying to cover up his plagiarism (because he didn't specify why the video got copystriked), when it actuality it looks like he and the publisher of the article came to an agreement behind the scenes without the need for drama.

Tommy Tallarico has nothing to do with IH, he's the subject of Harry's previous video. It's just his fans being unfunny retards.

Using the drama that occured with IH's Hole video is interesting for this topic, but obviously HBomber uploads once in a blue moon, and thus, needs that extra political jab to really get the lefties to sub to his patreon to know they're supporting the right cause: a donation to Mermaids UK.

See, really, the thing about all this is the other creators that were featured are legitmate scum of the earth. Which is why I can believe Bomber faggot's research into them. However, with IH, it is an undercooked section that comes across as a nana-boo boo we caught Goliath fucking up. IH group hasn't addressed the situation in any capacity, didn't attempt to lie about it, etc. We also don't know if they originally got one of those cryptic YouTube channel strikes that many creators have openly talked out against for years. Bomber is a faggot who needed something sensational and viral to get other people to talk and react to it, that's the only reason that smear section is in the video. He's worse than carrion, they at least clean the world. Bomber is a nightcrawler who wants fresh material.

That's what happened with James Rolfe, I think - one of the writers he hired lifted something directly and got fired for it. It's a risk. It was also definitely taken care of, I don't care about IH beyond videos so it was dumb to blatantly use an article like that without permission but it sounds like he learned a lesson.

The "right-wing" bit has nothing to do with anything. I actually was hoping this video would be good because I hate the lazy plagiarism that gets called out during the rest of the video. And it is good except for that section. He already had a big reveal with that final guy stealing so much, he didn't need this.

...yeah? He does that. He admits that he does that (for his secondary channels at least). He made it no secret that his video game story tellings are basically just what they saw during a watch of a YT letsplay with a splash of his own humor and editing style. The main channel benefits also from him animating the script. I thought that was just for second channel stuff, but not entirely surprised. Seems way overblown

How does this kind of direct copying even happen? No one in his or her right mind would do that, especially with so many eyes on.
I do wish he would offer an explanation. I also wish he would completely ignore it since it would only feed the retards.
My speculation, with absolutely zero direct evidence, is that he hired someome to write the script. The guy he hired copied the article to scam IH. Then IH ran with it without checking.

yeah I agree plus he did do substantial edits reordering's and paraphrasing's of the article, it was a shitty thing to do but his real crime was what @Dire Dire Cocks said being a marginally edgy creator.
