So they made him black and gay.

But overall how is it story wise?

Louis was a slave owner in the novel. How are they going to spin that or are they going to ditch it like the movie did? Claudia being a nigglet is also kind of nauseating.

I believe, from what I saw in some article, they ditched him being a slave owner and instead made him come from 'an influential Creole family that owns a bunch of brothels'. So... they made him come from a family of hi-class pimps.
You know. Since he's black.

Claudia's black too? I think someone in Hollywood is mad at Kirsten Dunst.

I gave it a chance, and I actually kinda like it. I was worried that race changing Louis would lead to non-stop SJW talking points, but it has not so far. I’ve actually heard people complaining that they don’t talk about race enough, which is hilarious.

The show starts with Louis wanting to tell his story again some 40+ years later to the same interviewer, Daniel, who over the years had become a jaded journalist and probable Kiwi Farms user. Daniel has no issue with calling Louis out on his bullshit, leading to some of the funniest and based lines in the show. “I also think she makes you and Frenchie look like a couple of whiny existential queens”. Yep, love this guy.

The set pieces are incredible, the acting is great (although I’m not a huge fan of Claudia). It has its campy side, but it’s overall really enjoyable.

Episode 5 has people bitching about domestic violence because of a scene where Lestat and Louis physically fight over Claudia. LMAO. Did they forget these are immortal beings who heal quickly (and kill just as quickly)? Did they forget about Claudia killing 56 people and cutting someone’s tit off? But because Lestat is more powerful, I guess it’s some type of power dynamic, blah blah, who cares. They aren’t human, fuck off.

Yeah it's pretty trashy fun, enjoyable to have on the side while I'm doing things.
