iOS 17 to allow sideloading - EU tightens the thumbscrews even tighter

theres gotta be a catch do you have to do this threw itunes or something?
Knowing Apple they would make it extremely difficult to enable sideloading. Possibly requiring a series of secret taps that is only documented on their website, possibly changes for each phone model or configuration so you have to look up your specific uslnit and calculate how you're supposed to secret tap it.

Honestly that along would be okay with me as it would make it very hard for idiots.
But they will probably do something annoying like constant popup warnings and big warning symbol in the notifications area and on each sideloaded app.

I mean Apple basically requires fast chargers for their new USB C phones, you're probably right, they're pricks like that

The term "sideloading" has the same implications as "wrongthink" to begin with. It implies there is only one approved way of getting programs to run which is to be given a blessing by a digital overlord, which has never been the case in the history of computing until Apple came in with their dumbed down normalfag toys.
