Realistically his fate is already sealed, this basically just the end credits scene to the johny somali movie. I guess the end credits would be him getting thrown to prison, so we're living in the final 10 or so minutes before that. Anyway, whatever he does he'll get in prison, so does it matter, not really, so he couldn't save his ass there either way

Legal Mindset has been taking about the 1st trial day.

JS has a public defender who seems unamused by his behaviour and was completely blindsided by the additional obstruction of business charge that was tacked on days ago.

The deepfake images he created are also under investigation by the Prosecutor. It's likely to be an additional charge. This could've remained a secret if he wasn't goofy enough to flash the document in a drunken stupor to an audience full of autistic hate watchers.

He told the judge he is a student despite the fact that he is continuing to livestream.

Also, there's a photo of him wearing the oversized suit. It's reminiscent of children sitting on eachother's shoulders pretending to be an entire adult. Looking like a scuffed Temu Kiryu.

My only understanding of the Korean justice system comes from LM hearsay, but it sounds like the Korean justice system is a dystopian hellscape. If he pled guilty to some of his charges it actually seriously screws him over since the courts are allowed to retroactively stack new charges onto him and each subsequent charge factors in his previous guilty pleas as him being a repeat offender. This is basically what sicker-punched him during his session yesterday, plus he has an entirely different trial in another district that hasn't begun yet and will be factoring all of what's going on now into that ruling.

He has multiple trials, this is just for the stuff he did in the western part of Seoul. The anti-deepfake law has been a big deal in Korea and they're going to want to set a high profile example, that trial is in a different jurisdiction and hasn't even begun yet. Plus he's facing civil litigation on the deepfakes on top of the criminal charges. He could be stuck under house arrest for multiple years just waiting on judgements.
