Yeah, it's sorta questionable, but I'd need more details and context. The whole "record yourself doing dumb shit" culture makes me wonder too.

I guess it would be helpful to see the leadup. Was the hobo trailing him for ten minutes? At that point, the guy pulls a knife, yeah, I think he's in the clear. But i don't know.

Also, regarding a doctor's duty to render aid, where I live he's not expected to endanger himself while doing so. (Don't know about California, though)

idk, homeless people brain people with hammers all the time and get let off. Shooting some guy 50 feet away from you (who is literally 0 danger to you) isn't really self defense. Your first course is ALWAYS to simply remove yourself if possible (unless it's like in your house or something). He had a looooong time to get away (keep backing up, run...), 10 minutes to call the police, etc. Even if the guy started running straight at him with a chainsaw he had a good 30 seconds (minus if he actually...ran) to take him out.

I could see it being totally fine because whatever, homeless, but if a bunch of HEROIC advocates make a homeless george floyd stink that is very easily not self defense. The amount of homeless people that wave axes and needles at you downtown in any major westcoast city directly in front of you is astronomical and you'd never get off if you pulled a gun out and shot one, because crazy bum privelage. He was at least smart enough to only shoot once and then pretend he wanted to help (although they're going to say hey retard turn your gay video off and phone 911) instead of going Rambo and talking to chat

It's an indictment of victim culture and panty-waisted policing policy. Where I live, when she got pulled over headed north she would have taken a sobriety test. Also never, ever, under any circumstances tell them you're streaming. The police here will watch that shit the moment you mention it, with predictable results.
