If you get shot and it tears an artery either
A: You die
B: You end up with a massive scar from where the doctors saved your live
When you show up to the ER with a life threatening gunshot wound they will split your shit wide open because 60 seconds could be the difference between clamping an artery so you don't bleed out and die. It's not going to be a clean little scar like when you go in for surgery.

Zima’s scar is essentially a new belly button on her chest - it’s fucking massive. She also showed another similar looking scar on her leg from the arterial transplant.
She claims she would’ve been dead within 15 minutes had the surgeons not operated.

I have nothing to base this on but I don't think she blew her brains out. I think she just left him. I cant find an obituary or anything mentioning her in the towns associated with him.
