I have to ask: how can anyone drink whiskey of any sort?

Have you ever gotten a whiff of that stuff? It really does smell like paint thinner. And although whiskey enthusiasts claim there are a number of flavours that define good to great whiskies, I will forever believe that NO ONE actually likes the taste of that noxious stuff.
