Im not sure. But If i remembered correctly he partially based some of the character's origin off the old digimon cartoons including said character's possible heel turn.

I have to wonder, what is the point of those characters? Really, what's the point? They don't contribute to anything and they have even less personality than the other electric hedgehogs.

When the Sonic franchise debuts new characters, Chris has the same reaction as every time he sees something else he likes: "that's super cool, I need something like that in my comic." It's a knee-jerk compulsion, he doesn't ever stop and take time to evaluate whether another one-dimensional recolor will actually add anything to the story or not.

For starters, I think the CWC experience its not for everybody, its more of an acquired taste, so, If Chris started to produce content on a schedule, like setting up an account on Blip and just started making videos talking about some shitty Sonic game no one cares about, I think it wouldn't be as entertaining, much of the amusement we get from Chris is how oblivious he is to his own situation, if he became aware of that and started to cash in on this fact, it would start to suck pretty quickly.

Yeah, you're right. It just wouldn't be the same. I still think his cwcisms are the closest to being original Chris will ever get, though. Such odd combinations of words.

I guess it's ironic how he would never make money from them without ruining the whole experience.

Jamsta is an amalgam of 90's "totally radical hipster" tropes, rolled into another useless lectric hedgehog poke-man plot contrivance.

Zapina is the hyperactive "totally radical saccharine teenybopper" trope, shoved into a hybrid of Charmy Bee and AAAANOTHER unoriginal lectric hedgehog poke-man form.

Silvana Rosechu is similar in style, color scheme, origin, and motivation as Astronema from Power Rangers in Space (whose character regularly changed her appearance through the season) rolled into another disposable lectric hedgehog poke-man plot contrivance. I don't know the motivation for her having a wang, but I sincerely doubt there's any deeper meaning behind it, and any other creation of his.

Chris has no motivation to be creative. He doesn't seem to create comics and stories for any audience, except himself. It's evident in every thing he does; Chris does it for Chris. If he's happy with the "creativity" of his trope-laden wish-fulfillment garbage, fuck anyone else's opinion - the world revolves around Chris.

I'd have no problem with that, if he didn't crow about his awesome creative prowess and act like hot shit. That's a gold-leafed express-delivered invitation for harsh criticism and ridicule.

Chris is more of an imitator than someone who is creative. They say the Japanese adopt, adapt and then become adept at things. Chris, unlike the Japanese, isn't adept at much of anything.

His lack of creativity wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue if he could present his ideas in an appealing manner, imo, but that would involve practicing every day and putting a lot of work into honing his artistic skills, so of course it would never happen.

I think that what I find the most disappointing about Sonichu is that the very barest bones of the concept provide a decent groundwork for an original story: animals being granted sentience and superpowers and being tasked with defending innocents from evil. Change the pokemon to real animal species, the chaos emeralds to genetic engineering or toxic waste or some other sci-fi bullshit, and remove all the Sonic characters, Transformers, Power Rangers and whatever else, and you could turn it into a modestly interesting comic series. Not a great one, but at least you wouldn't be making a shitty fancomic.

It's true that Chris is probably just not a creative person, like a lot of people. But he's also uncreative because he was never challenged, never encouraged to push himself or think critically, either by his parents or his teachers. And now that he's left to his own devices, he doesn't do anything to broaden his own horizons; he doesn't talk to creative people, or read interesting books, or try to investigate the world around him. He's content just to be an inactive lump, observing the things that go on but never asking why they happen. Creativity demands that a person stop being passive and take some initiative in analyzing the things they encounter in their lives. Chris' lack of creativity is just one more manifestation of his passive, lazy nature.

This. CWC is the artist version of the guy who thinks he is a comedian but is only funny when he isn't trying to be. His "art" is an afterthought, an obligatory thing he rushes through in his quest for fame and china... but when he breathlessly, unthinkingly spouts off nonsense in his videos, it's funnier than pretty much any deliberate comedic programming on T.V.

His self-described "pitiful mockery of an adult life" is where his true artistry lies. Honestly, I miss his videos more than I miss his comics.
