Is Chris' ego completely impenetrable?

Whenever his pride gets damaged, he blames the others for it, and things go back to normal (For Chris anyway)

When he escapes in his world of Cwcville, where no troll can do no harm to him. I remember Evan pressured Chris to kill off one of his characters, the only place he can escape to is damaged.

What will truly destroy his spirit?
 
That might require self reflection. So, nothing.

Nothing. Chris's spirit can't be destroyed. Sooner or later, it will devour our souls.

Ego and spirit are two different things. Chris never has much spirit to begin with.

You can be depressed and still be completely full of yourself. Chris's attitude now a days is like "WHY AREN'T PEOPLE DOING THINGS FOR ME?! I'M DEPRESSED!"

Chris is just a very dumb child. Pride is a coping mechanism, and with it comes a lot of self-loathing. Chris deep downs hates himself. He needs healthy reinforcement (read: parenting). A social worker with control over his environment could easily turn Chris around in a matter of months. Sadly for him, Chris is going to be kicked around the low end of care centers once Mother dies.
 
I'd say no, his ego's hardly impenetrable, and some of his recent facebook posts are good examples of how it's slowly chipping away. Only problem is that even if his ego diminishes and he (sic) has to acknowledge some of his monstrous faults, he's always going to have a victim complex to blame them on, ergo it's not going to help him turn any corners.

Oh, so now he knows that he's ugly with no alibi? Well, it's all the fault of those dang, dirty trolls for stressing him out so much for the past greater than five years.

Oh, so he finally realizes Sonichu never had any actual fans? Well, it's all Alec Benson Leary's fault for besmirching him, otherwise the world would clearly see his artistic genius.

Oh, he has absolutely no prospects of ever sustaining himself? Well, it's all Mimm's fault for uploading that picture of him years and years ago, so obviously his girlfriend needs to die.

...Even when Chris no longer has his delusions of grandeur to prop himself up, he'll always have something to hang the blame on and as long as he's got that, he'll never bother taking any steps towards improving himself. The way he sees it, the world caused his problems, so the world ought to fix them, not him.

Like, I think you're overestimating how smart Chris is. So, for example, when Chris is talking about how he thinks women should be approaching him when he's out in mcdonalds, but they don't, he accuses Charlottesville and Ruckersville of being asocial and he grills them for that. I believe Chris really believes that. He doesn't secretly hate himself, he openly hates Charlottesville for being full of people who aren't sucking his dick.
 
His ego isn't impenetrable, but his skin sure as hell is, and that's a disastrous combination.

Catparty said it, even if jokingly. In order for Chris to deflate his ego he'd need to do some introspection and think about someone other than himself. Those are two things hes proven himself incapable of doing.
