As a True and Honest Old Fag I'm going to use this thread to admit that while I don't believe everything we think we know about Chris is a lie, one of my biggest assumptions about him and his behavior when it came to sex certainly proved to be.
I legit, from very nearly the beginning of all this, always thought that his obsession with sex and losing his virginity / getting a boyfriend-free-girl-to-make-into-a-girlfriend-from-the-ground-up was simply his own idea that having sex would somehow prove he was an adult, that he was a straight man (something else he was obsessed with back in the day, for those only familiar with his more recent incarnation) and possibly secure him a woman who would take care of him once his parents died (a fear his expressed often).
Basically he was an Internet Nice Guy, soaked in incel logic BUT because he also did things like literally asking for a GF for Christmas one year and was upset when she wasn't under the tree in the morning it all had this retarded innocence to it so even when he stalked someone or talked about rape or anything it was almost like hearing a child just echoing back things they heard but didn't understand.
When he hired a hooker and so proudly lost his V card I really thought "Okay, now all the sex obsession will die down, he's got it out of his system, he'll see nothing changed and probably not even think about it again." and it was easy to kind of hold on to that thought and assume the weird sexual stuff that came after that was less him enjoying any of the actual acts but pretending to do so to impress a potential partner.
Sounds naïve on my part, eh? Well it was but it's important to know too that waaaay in the before times a lot of trolling was just about getting Chris to say and/or do things that made him uncomfortable or sound worse than he seemed at the time, and I'll elaborate on that with this example:
When he was doing a mailbag thing for a while someone asked him about what kind of dog he would fuck. He was under some sort of pressure to answer every question in some way, I can't remember what, probably something to do with his PSN account or somesuch but either way he felt he HAD to answer so he said if he had to choose he guessed something pretty like a Collie.
Now only the stupidest among us took this to mean Chris actually wanted to fuck a dog, instead most of us knew he was just giving an answer to satisfy the conditions set before him and the point of getting him to answer was just to get the next part: the punchline.
See getting Chris to "admit" to stupid shit was easy, so that wasn't really the goal. The goal was to then confront him with that answer and get the chimp out response video or comic a few days later. Getting him to say he was gay, for example, gave us videos talking about how Sailor Moon posters and Axe body kept a man straight, or one of him stomping on a vibrator.
So a lot of what newer people see as obvious red flags to a lot of us back then were just the setups for these kinds of punchlines. All of that is kind of a long winded way of saying that listening to Chris was never the same as KNOWING Chris, it was more like a whole bunch of really stupid immature directors knowing how to get the most natural reactions out of their actors.
So it's pretty easy to look back in hindsight and say "How could you have thought he was just some innocent, bumbling tard when he said 8 times back in the year 20XX that he wanted to strangle fuck the entire world?" but I can promise you that there are a LOT of people on here whose first thought when this all broke was "He fucked his mom? Oh yeah, which Ween/Troll got him to say THAT?"
TLDR; Anyone could get Chris to say anything, so why would any of it be taken seriously at the time?
