Is humanity doomed to enslavement in the future from the surveilance state?

Its numbers. Can they control everybody? I doubt it. But how many would it take? That’s the question

Nanomachines feel more like a sci-fi pipe dream than anything these days given how much of a logistical nightmare they seem to be. At the end of the day they’re still machines meaning they’ll need either maintenance or outright replacement over time. So for something ambitious like mind control you’re looking at either repeated exposures in local environments (while the elites can somehow remain unexposed?) or dosing people with some sort of repair service/material without them noticing either the initial exposure or the follow-up treatments. And that’s not getting into side effects of all the broken down nanomachines that’ll accumulate in people’s brains; eventually that’s gonna be caught if nothing else.

Anyway I wouldn’t worry about some fantastic nanomachine crowd control given how infeasibly expensive it’d be. I suspect the actual crowd control methods we’ll see in the future to be much more lame and gay, sadly.

No because the state itself is doomed to die
The only question is whether the state will take the rest of the planet and mankind with it when it dies

Sometimes it feels like it's joever but if you accept it and it wasn't hopeless you've thrown away the future for nothing. Anyway if this does come to pass it will probably be a lot more mundane with the method of control just being a personalized AI via your phone that "manages" you and narcs on you to the government constantly.

It is important to know that evil powers have always existed throughout history, yet people have consistently overcame every ordeal from love and community alone.
Do not become a hopeless isolationist as that is the main way the ruinous powers have utilized the internet to gay op people into becoming untrustworthy misanthropes.
Everyone may call one another here faggots. But in the end, everyone will have to be gay. (Happy)
