Is it gay to hide your profile now that it's a feature?

Is there any way to check if my own profile is hidden? I haven’t touched anything since the update and I don’t know if it’s the new default or anything. I ask because I firmly believe that anyone who locks their account is a pussywhipped bitch and i don’t want to be a pussywhipped bitch

I don't really understand the point of any of the communication limiting features on the site in general. Nothing is forcing people to interact with anyone posting on their profile. Just because someone comes and spergs out or insults you on your profile doesn't mean you have to respond to it. I'm pretty sure you can just turn notifications off for profile posts. I literally never even look at mine unless I get a notification that someone posted something. Do people honestly sit and worry about what other people are posting on their profile page?

On one hand it is kind of useless to manually block your page. However I've never manually done it and I'm too apathetic about my presence on here to check if that feature was turned on by accident when the site was changing like some people have said.

It's stupid and gay, especially seeing how there was already an ignore feature. If you hide your profile, you should also be limited in your posting abilities. Maybe it could make things more comfortable for 4chan refugees used to anon posting?

That rhetoric could fly on tumblr or something but on kiwifarms, at least from what I've seen lurking and my relatively short time posting, the culture is that you can say (mostly) whatever you want. Like come on, that's like people complaining about being called a retarded nigger on 4chan.

I understand that users want to remain "Anonymous" on here especially since 4chan's hacking and unavailability but if you want complete anonymity just use an altchan like the sharty. But when you sign up here you pick a username and given a profile that's tied to your posts, so using the hide feature seems pretty useless and gay.

By the way, I think you should be able to check by logging out first.

Try @BoxerShorts47 while logged out for example (or someone else you know that has their profile locked), then you.

Click your pfp at the top and go to 'privacy', it's a damn shame I cant apply 'all visitors' to all fields.
