is it over if the girl i like chose abortion as a topic for some paper we gotta write in english class 🥀

i think shes supporting it bc like we were talking abt it and she asked my opinion on abortion and lowk that was awkward bc im a guy. i personally dont so i just told her my opinions on it, and it ended up being a pretty constructive conversation.

is this a red flag or nah

Dude if you were able to have a constructive conversation with a young woman about abortion in TYOOL 2026 and she didn't instantly start screeching at you despite being on opposite sides of the discussion, it's never been less over

ig for more context this wasnt really the topic she wanted to do but it was a topic that could easily fulfill the topic guidelines. when i asked, she originally said she wanted to do something else but i honestly forgot

most women in the 18-24 age range aren't really radfem girlhitlers in terms of their opinion on abortion rights. either that or i dont live in a big enough city or some other demographic issue...

i assume women usually just support abortion because their friends do or because "muh freedom" but thats just an uneducated assertion. tl;dr its not much of a strong topic they fight over

I do live in a witches' coven full of women still rocking pink hats and frequently topping the countrywide rankings of "cities with the worst sex lives", so yeah, my day to day experience is pretty biased. I avoid the topic at all costs and I'm not even fully pro-life, just rather disgusted with what pro-choice has devolved into

are other age groups also like this in your location? i obviously see why millennials are... millennials but im curious into how other people you know lean politically.

i feel you too on your position since like i personally think there are some good points on both sides , but the pro-choice field is just psycho libraisin now.

It's across the board. We have a lot of very visible elderly shitlibs who have politics as their religion who went apoplectic after the Dobbs decision. My white collar office went into a mourning period and a senior executive put out a company-wide missive telling people who needed it to take a mental health day (but it's the kind of place that has a land acknowledgement in the front lobby). Most of the zoomers I encounter IRL are in addiction recovery meetings and they were pretty devastated as well, especially the trannies (there's something dark & comic about people who willingly sterilized themselves being so concerned about abortion law).

All of this in a state where it's super-legal and under no kind of threat, btw. Lots of hysteria that a national ban was around the corner.
