Multi quote is broken, but first off you know how the movie of The Road does justice to the book? In my humble opinion, On the Beach is not done justice by its’ cinematic counterpart. The book, just like The Road, is something so incredibly dark and mind numbing. I would heavily recommend, unless you are depressed or hate change…or something.
Secondly, a lot of people like to talk about how noone knows what kind of apocalypse happened in The Road. It’s funny, because there are a few posts here that nail it on the head, when you put them all together and remove some excess.
Last thing, and please mind the tinfoil hat, there is loose evidence of nuclear sites from around 13,000 years ago, if i remember right. Or a nuclear war. Something. Africa or SW Asia.
That said, yeah it’s worth it. If you are one of the fortunate, literal thousands of people to survive a few years? It will be rough as shit and difficult, but the end result might just be worth it. Thanks for reading this autism.
