His video titles sound interesting, but he just looks and sounds like such a fucking faggot that I can't bring myself to watch his videos. I can't bring myself to clink on a video with such a cringe thumbnail, even though I am interested in the content. Is there anything wrong with this behavior?
Not at all. Peoples' voices and even their physical appearances can matter for watching content. Sometimes you can actually judge a book by its cover.
There's a Youtuber I tried to watch since she makes long-form video essays, but it's hard for me to sit through her content because 1) Her thick New Zealand accent where I can't understand what the fuck she's saying and 2) She covers her face with a fuck ton of bizarre makeup in an attempt to say "LOOK AT ME!!" so much so that it's a distraction to see someone who looks like a drag queen Lady Gaga with a bukkake of face paint. I can't even pronounce her name either, it's like zyzyyxx or some shit (you probably saw her before).

The suckiest part is when a channel starts out without a face cam, or even their own voice but as their channel grows their ego does too and eventually they feel the need to show themselves all the time. Everyone wants to be their own celebrity, have their own little media empire.

I didn't realize she was a woketard. I've seen bits and pieces of her videos about Dashcon, Bronies, and Rainfurrest and found them to be mediocre-ish, and of course I couldn't get over her retarded makeup. I skimmed through the Brony dating sim video just a moment ago and found the part about Sam Hyde, and I cringed the whole time as she spouted off the usual regurgitated VICE-tier talking points about muh alt-right and muh 4chan.
