I would wager that a LOT of users here have skeletons in their closets. While if it came out that someone had some weird pony kink or cringy ERP habit it would totally be mocked relentlessly, a lot of lolcows seem to have a total lack of self awareness or at least overshares to the point where they can't help but let everyone know about the weird shit they do, thus making it funny when someone inevitably finds out about it.

Most people have hobbies, a lot of people have hobbies that to others may be considered a bit autistic, but who really cares unless you make it everyone's business? It really doesn't matter unless you announce to the world you are doing something incredibly stupid and noteworthy so we can have a good laugh about it. Otherwise no one really cares about you THAT much to constantly think about what you are doing online.
