Is suicide a form of self defense?

Solution
Oh, and an alternative answer ; you also have no right to self-defense in a situation you provoked. By attempting to kill yourself you've provoked the situation in the first place, thus voiding your legal right to violently defend yourself from... yourself.
Is masturbation a form of rape?
The person you're sexually assaulting was obviously asking for it.

Every now and again you get high for a few days and start stupid threads.

It sounds like skunk weed with no cannabinoid balance to smooth it out. Time to detox.
I don't smoke weed. Appreciate the concern though.

No because self defense doesn't give you the right to kill your attacker. It gives you the right to take actions that are reasonably deemed necessary to defend yourself, which may potentially include killing your attacker.

Most reasonable people would not view killing yourself as a necessary method of defending yourself.

It's an infinite recursion of self-defense, which means nobody's getting an answer.

Even when your attacker is actively trying to kill you?

This is why Aussies keep getting hunted down by every bit of their own fauna. Even the koalas can smell the big beta male energy radiating off all of you.

Yes. If a very elderly paraplegic in a wheelchair is trying to kill you in a laughably futile manner, you're not allowed to just shoot them. You can only take reasonable actions to defend yourself.

This isn't an Australian thing, this is the law everywhere. Even the rootingest tootingest inbred hick states base their self defense laws around the concept of applying reasonable force to defend yourself, not around giving blanket permission to kill anyone who attacks or threatens you.

Committing suicide is never going to be accepted as a reasonable method of defending your person from lethal harm, so there's your answer.
