Is Terminator 2 actually woke?

wasn't the girl who modeled Alyx an employee at Valve and I think people like her considering they wanna shag her to this day
Alyx was based off a small time actress called Jamil Higley:

And Eli was based off a random dude Valve dragged in off the street because he was holding a sign that said he was looking for work:

T2 precedes the era of mentally ill people being put in charge of big budget productions and misses a lot of the story beats I consider necessary to call a medium 'woke'.
>the obligatory scene where a woman gets on her high horse and lectures a man about how immoral he is, while he just sits there and takes it silently. oftentimes this scene also involves said woman beating him up while she's talking
>the obligatory racial humiliation ritual where either a Black person or a minority from a faraway culture or country condescends to the main character about how his people have much more civilized and peaceful methods of resolving conflict. The faraway culture CAN be imaginary, i.e. space aliens
>the obligatory interracial romance which ALWAYS needs to involve at least one Black participant. In a few rare exceptions found exclusively outside of the US, the Black participant is replaced with a very dark Indian or Pakistani
Wrong on all accounts, stalker child
It has a strong female character, therefore a "girlboss". The movie is woke, stalker, you're going to prison stalker. Wait for the knock.

And even then, while Dyson is portrayed as smart, he's basically just reverse engineering the existing Terminator electronics from the first movie IIRC.

Are you saying an African-American scientist wouldn't be able to fully reverse-engineer an AI created CPU from the year 2029 using a range of 286/486 machines in 6-7 years?

Have you not heard of a little place called Wakanda??

This "X is now woke all of a sudden" or "If Y was made today it would be woke" trend is retarded. I've heard claims that Morrowind of all things is now woke, at this point the "anti-woke" people are Skeptics 2.0 and will end up exactly like them. KCD2 controversy is a good example of just how retarded and clueless they are.
These retards are the next Anita Sarkessian, Jack Thompson, and Tipper Gore. Ideologues who want to ruin fun. No learning about the wacky adventures of Vivec hunting his offspring made with the King of Rape. No mixed-sex team of Spartan-IIIs blasting their way through the Covenant. No ability to use knowledge of Hebrew to correct a grumbling Jew about his use of the term ‘goy’.

Only two types of games: action-adventure with gruff, straight white male and action-adventure with curvaceous, big tits and ass anime woman.

Nobody has ever defined "woke". Can't we just go back to calling things cringe and faggotry when appropriate? Why do we have to kowtow to advertiser friendly vocabulary?

(I'm not calling Terminator cringe or faggotry here btw)
The general vibe consensus I have found to be the best general definition is as follows.

Woke: obnoxious, belligerent, and performative progressive rhetoric, buzzwords, and other purely aesthetic or symbolic gestures done solely to attract unearned praise or deflect well earned criticism, either of personal conduct or of a work one has produced. In general this will be low effort and cost but high visibility and volume activity that allows whomever is engaging in this behaviour to reap the maximum reputational benefit for an absolute minimum of tangible cost or impact to themselves.

Usually the progressive angle is either...
  1. absurdly niche (i.e. the plight of bigender drag fashion journalists of color in southern Kyrgyzstan)
  2. pointlessly radicalised (i.e. abolish police, prisons, borders, and the mailman because the local crackhead stubbed his toe while shoplifting)
  3. or the most milquetoast shit imaginable that is presented as being some stunningly brave and unprecedented stance (i.e. declaring that the new disney product is the first work in human history to ever depict women existing)
...and is generally extremely topical to the particular month or even week in which the woke shit occurs.

In works of fiction Woke can manifest in two ways.
  1. On screen in a way that actively appears in the script and is explicitly called attention to by characters and dialogue in a manner that matches the above definition (i.e. season 2 of Picard where he goes back to then currentyear in trump's america and fights ICE agents while other characters reflect on how uniquely terrible and dark this era is)
  2. Off screen in the form of cast and crew making social media declarations or giving interviews in which they engage in woke theatrics regarding the work in a manner that matches the above definition (i.e. season 1 of Picard where the cast gave multiple interviews about how the series if their way of #resist'ing trump and brexit and and and and stuff)
Therefore with regards to progressive themes and concepts and such explicitly or implicitly featuring in works of fiction, its quite simple to determine if they would qualify as woke by means of a simple test.
  1. Was the progressive theme/concept in question explicitly referenced on screen in an obnoxious, belligerent, and purely performative and aesthetic manner in a way that is incongruous with the rest of the work as described above?
  2. Was the progressive theme/concept in question one which was explored extremely shallowly if at all and was something of a topical fad at the time of production?
  3. Did the creator(s) engage in woke attention baiting during and after production to the media as described above?
So bringing shit back to Terminator 2 we can quickly rule it out as being woke based on the following
  1. Dyson's race was a non factor, with there being now crowbarred scenes trying to obnoxiously milk it for "look how much we love black people" schtick in which he effortlessly defeats and humiliates caricatures of white supremacists or such, and he is not ridiculously idealised either
  2. Sarah Connor is explicitly shown and mentioned to have been training herself non stop for over a decade to fight against inhumanly powerful and very literal killing machines, thus her ambushing schlubby asylum orderlies does not break suspension of disbelief in the slightest
  3. Sarah's sorta-feminist monologue was in the midst of her own mental breakdown and was instantly dismissed by her more level headed son and dropped, besides which it was shown as a result of her being insanely traumatised by the coming apocalypse
  4. James Cameron while overt in talking about the movies as feminist in his interpretation did not use this as some cheap way of demanding praise or denouncing critics, and the feminism in question was not

Ask your female friends to whack you in the face with a metal pipe a few times. If you don't budge at all, the movie is woke.

Not even that, the same kind of people also said that characters like Joshua Graham from New Vegas are also "woke"(christcuck, cares too much about brown people ect.). Just being a straight white male and/or a badass no longer qualifies you anymore, we need to purity spiral harder until we all make the same identical game every time, no different than what the far-left is doing by writing the same story with the same characters and the same diversity hires.

Billy's mom from Gremlins - like seriously, she fucking blends one of them
Which still is a very female-coded way to dispose of gremlins in my humble opinion.
I can't. They keep complaining about the size and weight of it.
Gremlins, they're everywhere. They're sneaky little critters. I wouldn't count on what you saw there - they might be playing you.

Sarah Connor beats up several male guards during her escape attempt. This is not feminine behaviour and is unrealistic, given that she's a woman and an average man could've easily overpowered her. The screenwriters could've had her patiently wait for T-800 and John to rescue her, but they didn't. Why? Clearly, to add the feminist message of "girls are just as strong as boys".
I don't know if the intent behind it was some kind of proto-woke #girlbossing, constrained by how much people would tolerate back then. But a major difference in the T2 opening vs. today's Capeshit movies is the realism.

In T2, Sarah spent years training, and still recognized she needed weapons, the element of surprise, and a hostage (needle full of draino) to escape. And when the T-800 came around the corner, she recoiled in absolute, paralyzing PTSD terror, expected given the events of the first movie, and distrusts him even after John demonstrates it's on their side.

The modern equivalent would see Sarah acrobatically throwing around orderlies twice her size, staring down the T-800 with obnoxious snark, and wisecracking about how all it took were some #GirlsWhoCode to reprogram him into something useful.

T2 shows what an actual human woman could do, vs. some LARPing feminist power fantasy.

As far as what she said to Miles Dyson is concerned, she says "men like you". She doesn't suggest men in general. Very specific men created atomic weapons and worked on weapons systems. Not just men are bad because they make stuff that kills and destroys. That's what you would have heard from her if T2 was made today. Though I believe there were some women involved in the Manhattan project and probably other programs that created weapon systems.

Like I said in a previous post. She is mentally unhinged. She knows things that other people don't, and they labeled her as insane. They locked her up probably for a decade or more. She was also a waitress in the first movie. She most likely doesn't have any kind of education past high school. Probably 95-100 IQ normie that had shit heaped upon her. She isn't scholar of history. So, she boils things down to exactly what she knows. Men made atomic weapons which is factually correct.

This thread is boring as only the more rational posters are posting. Someone @ the more parasocial members in the SyntheticMan thread if you want weird answers.
