Is there a basis for anti-semitism?

Serious question, I often see "The Jews" used as a perjorative ("Jewtube" for example) but I've never understood whether this is just a funny/edgy meme or if people actually hate the Jewish for whatever reason.

And of course you can't just Google this subject because you always get a bunch of "its irrational bullshit" articles that I'm sure are leaving out the story.

And well... when all else fails, I resort to asking. Educate me, please (because clearly school failed to).

Thanks in advance.

(Just to be clear, my only motive is pure curiosity--I myself have no feelings on the subject).

Ignoring your plebbit spacing, I found this: https://www.crf-usa.org/bill-of-rig...tolerance-and-persecution-in-the-roman-empire
The religions that Rome had the most problems with were monotheistic—Judaism and Christianity. Because these religions believed there was just one god, they prohibited worshiping other gods. Their members refused to make offerings to Roman gods or take part in Roman religious festivals, which Rome considered a matter of showing loyalty. These religions tested Roman tolerance.
tl;dr: Jews refuse to integrate.

Nah, people throughout history across different cultures just all hated them for no reason. It's remarkable, really. They did nothing to anyone but wherever they went they quickly became despised. There's no explanation for it, but that's what happened.

Think of people who hate Christians.

A Jewish minor in response to a Rabbi being arrested for soliciting a minor (undercover cop) on a dating site:
[The Rabbi]’s crimes helped me realize despite concerns of child sexual abuse being a systemic issue within the Catholic church, not by any means is abuse by religious leaders exclusively a Catholic problem. Although sexual abuse by leaders is not nearly as prominent in Judaism as it is in Catholicism, it is important to remember that no religion is immune.

Citation not given because it's a kid saying this, but it is admittedly a long quote...

Interestingly, the people who (allegedly) love blacks the most are also the people who (statistically) interact with blacks the least. Can this phenomena be replicated with other groups of people?

Perhaps Jews do all the bad things that Christians do - all the bad things that you're allowed to hate Christians for doing. Perhaps they fuck kids and they fuck school curriculums and they alter bills to keep funding their forever war. Perhaps they're just as bad as people we are allowed and encouraged to hate, but they get a free pass because they cry oppression. And maybe the people who defend them most are people who like the idea of jews but never really interface with them or their bubble.

And I really hope it doesn't have to be said, but just in case: And perhaps like not all Christians diddle kids or put creationism public schools, not all Jews diddle kids or support the forever war.

The TL;DR is that Jews have been without a homeland for most of their history, and they are paranoid about being seen as outsiders. Therefore, they support policies that weaken their host countries, such as mass immigration and LGBTQIWTF++. Jews are often the leaders and founders of such movements and ideologies. The idea is that if enough immigrants are brought in and natives troon out and sterilize themselves, it won't be possible for a nativist movement to come to power democratically, and it will be less likely that Jews are considered weird outsiders. The media which is largely owned by Jews also does its part in this. If you ever wondered why the news is gay, you can look at who owns it.

The ADL, which started out as an explicitly Jewish organization, has also been the leading organization in the battle against "extremism" for a long time, which at this point basically includes everyone to the right of the most moderate Republicans. The ADL works with Youtube and Facebook to censor content. The ADL also operates as a global attack dog. There are a number of countries that have banned circumcision and they get very angry letters from the ADL. Here's the one regarding Iceland:

New York, NY, March 23, 2018 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today strongly urged the parliament of Iceland to reject a bill that would ban male circumcision.

In a letter addressed to the parliamentary committee discussing the proposal, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said, “The proposal to ban male circumcision is contrary to basic principles of religious freedom and deeply offensive to Jews and Muslims. The commandment of brit milah, circumcision on the eighth day, is a fundamental religious rite in Judaism and universally practiced by all families who identify as Jewish across the broad spectrum of practice. Such a ban would mean that no Jewish family could be raised in Iceland, and it is inconceivable that a Jewish community could remain in any country that prohibited brit milah.”

Finland’s Supreme Court ruled in 2008 that ritual male circumcision is protected under the European Convention on Human Rights by the right to personal autonomy, as part of the right to privacy, (Article 8), the right to family life (Article 8), and the freedom of religion and conscience (Article 9), when “appropriately performed.”

Greenblatt, in his letter, noted that ADL is the leading monitor of far-right extremism in the United States: “Should Iceland ban male circumcision, making it impossible for Jews and Muslims to raise families in your country, we guarantee that Iceland will be celebrated by neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other extremists,” Greenblatt said. “Even though anti-Semitism was surely not the impetus for the proposal, the result of its adoption will be the glorification of Iceland by the most despicable bigots. They will celebrate the ban as the first legislation in Europe since World War II towards making a country Judenrein or free of Jews.”

The implicit threat is clear: If Iceland bans circumcision, the ADL will work to label the country as neo-Nazi and "white supremacist." The House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee also got involved:

“While Jewish and Muslim populations in Iceland may be small, your country’s ban could be exploited by those who stoke xenophobia and anti-Semitism in countries with more diverse populations,” said a letter sent April 5 to the embassy of Iceland in Washington, DC by Congressmen Ed Royce, the Republican chairman of the committee, and Eliot Engel, its top Democrat.

“As a partner nation, we urge your government to stop this intolerant bill from advancing any further,” said the letter, which was released to the public on Thursday by the Orthodox Union, a group that has spoken out against the proposed ban.

“While Iceland’s Jewish community may be one of the smallest in the world, the legislation to ban male circumcision looms as a large assault upon Jewish – and Muslim – religious freedom and practice,” Nathan Diament, the OU’s Washington director, said in a statement.

Under the proposed law, the circumcision of boys — removing the foreskin of the penis, usually when the child is a newborn — would be viewed as equal to female genital mutilation and punishable by up to six years in prison. Circumcision for medical reasons would still be allowed.

Coincidentally Ed Royce is an AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) supporter, as is Eliot Engel, who also happens to be Jewish. Iceland got the message after this and the proposed ban was withdrawn.

Meanwhile, in the Jewish homeland Israel, they believe that citizenship should only be given to Jews, and they are happy to support the colonization and suppression of non-Jews. Jews in America, who are often dual citizens, lobby for more funding for Israel through AIPAC. If the 'I' stood for Italian and they were talking about sending billions to Italy because it's muh greatest ally, you would assume that it was a mafia organization. But no, it's a respected political organization that presidential candidates from both parties speak at.

Yes, and the basis is that people are not allowed to openly discuss why Jews are overrepresented at the top of so many businesses and in governments. (Hint: it's probably race and IQ.) And so they jump to other conclusions.
