Nope, but as a Canadian I'm voting for a socialist party every election time as I don't have a choice. Even our most hardcore conservative political party is about on par with the U.S. Democratic party on the left-right spectrum.

Anyway, we just celebrated our own Freedom Day on the 1st, so sorry I forgot yours is tomorrow. l'll send you guys down packets of smoked salmon and jugs of maple syrup in apology, and if I don't forget and drink it all, some Newfie screech while I'm at it.

I'll spare you googling screech. It's rum made in Newfoundland and got it's name because shortly after the very first batch was made and the lads were sampling it to check it's kick, they gave some to an American who was either a sailor or a businessman, and once he threw back a knock of it, screeched louder then anyone ever heard. From then on, that brewery's rum was known as screech, though it eventually became a term for ALL rum distilled in Newfoundland.
