Is there a reason for dry parsley to exist?

Fresh parsley tastes like parsley. Dried parsley from a spice canister tastes like nothing. Why do we even waste time with it?

I honestly dont know
What parsley tastes like and this is coming from someone who enjoyed the old cod in parsley sauce microwave dinners. Is it just used for decoration?

Unless you have a particular herb conveniently growing on a sill or in a garden, the dried form of that herb is shelf stable, and can be added as an ingredient in dishes not requiring a fresh instance of the herb as a garnish. Is there a reason for you to exist?
Dried parsley is the most pointless dried herb. Fresh parsley, which you can get at almost all grocery stores, has a refreshing, earthy, slightly citrusy flavor. Dried parsley tastes of absolutely nothing and the texture is like burned paper.

You're not supposed to use dried parsley like a garnish. It's for soups and shit like that.

Today's fresh parsley is tomorrow's dried parsley - Which is why I always manage to have both; and refuse to waste the fresh version in any context where dry will suffice, for the same reason I stock both vanilla and the guaiacol-derived substitute, sucrose and sucralose concentrate, brown sugar and molasses, different varieties of flour, as well as grass-fed, European butter and the hydrogenated palm oil abomination flavored with propylene glycol: You use the right tool for the job. I have a pouch of diastatic malt powder which gets used on occasion, even though it's chemically redundant to my saliva. I have a bottle of liquid lecithin for when I don't want the flavor of chicken eggs overpowering other ingredients.

I swear, some of you are dumping dried parsley out of a shaker and directly into your mouth, then blaming the parsley for your failure to forage competently.

Does going to the grocery store and buying fresh parsley count as foraging?

It brings balance into the world to counter all the wet parsley. "For without dry parsley thou would not haveth wet parsley" It's in the Bible.
