Is there a single good reason why KF should have private profiles?? - I'm still mad about it

This was a fucking stupid change. Everytime I check some openly retarded user's profile it's always set to private. This helps no one. All of those users do nothing for the site and they fucking know it. Atleast before the change the ones that would seriously want to join the site would think twice about posting garbage, but what's the worst that could happen now? A few autistic stickers?

It was so simple, you'd see an idiot posting, check the profile, and if you saw a few pages of insults, you'd understand it's just a faggot and go with your day. Not anymore! What am I supposed to do now, insult them in the thread?

And don't you fucking start with the "we're all in the same team" bullshit, no we're not. Take a fucking look at the New user's Hall of Shame or at people like Alex Hog. Those people don't belong here and we should be allowed to call them niggers directly. Especially the banned users. What the fuck was the idea behind this?

This has been covered before, but it's a glitch after some kind of update Null did to the site. It's on his to-do list to fix, but it's low-priority so it could be some time before things are back to normal.
That's only banned users, he clearly states that it was intentional to allow private profiles after a certain somebody was being "harrassed" on their profile, like that wasn't always the case?

I'm thankful for it tbh, I can now use the Farms as my personal goon site and no one will ever know... Wait.

What is your theory, then?
It was stated by Null that he thinks that having open profiles does not have a positive value anymore, which hints towards this not being an extra measure to piss off people, but supposedly the opposite.

That alone is enough to suggest that what you said is not accurate, as to the reasoning behind it, I assume it was due to the "fighting/shitposting" in other people's profiles by regulars who engage in political threads like the ones in regards to Covid/Trump/Ukraine.

So now you have more control over who sees and posts in your profile (according to him), although the previous Xenforo settings/features, even while "broken", were already sufficient.

So his decision is mostly nonsensical in my opinion.
