Is there a way I can reset my last-read to zero for a thread?

If I'm looking at a huge old thread and accidentally clicked the last page, can I reset that somehow so I can continue reading it a page at a time without having to remember where I left off?

edit: SA had something like this back when I still was on there, in the watched thread view or the forum/board view, on any thread you had read any of, it had the number of unread posts displayed on the line with the thread title and an X next to that number, if you clicked the X it cleared all the last read stuff so it would be a new thread to you starting at post 1.

I don't think there is currently a way to do this but I've made mistakes like this in the past, something like this might be useful. @Null what do you think about this? I made a quick mockup:

My thought was adding a button up by the share and bookmark buttons of a read post that when clicked would mark the post and every post after it as new. Obviously the button wouldn't show on a post already marked as New.

I'd also settle for the ability to jump back to the immediately previous "last read post" that had just been lost due to a misclick.
