Is yogurt safe to eat if it's left out of the fridge for several hours?

Seriously non gross question. A small fridge I have got unplugged for several hours and I didn't realize it. Is store bought, sealed yogurt probably okay? It's basically like spoiled milk already right? What about all the bottles of CUM in my fridge? Think they're okay too?

People are so fucking insane about the concept of food spoilage it's ridiculous.

I don't know how the modern obsession with refrigeration came about, but you could 100% unquestionably leave yogurt sit out for 12 hours straight, probably more, and it wouldn't stand any chance of causing you a problem. When has anyone ever heard of a person actually getting food poisoning from leaving food out for too long? It's virtually always due to contamination at the source.

I genuinely believe people's warped views of how readily food spoils unrefigerated is entirely a product of of meat/dairy lobbying groups trying encourage people to go through as much of their product as humanly possible. Possibly also to shift perception away from producers as the source of disease and to consumers.

This is my thoughts as well, but people always make me paranoid, acting like if anything's left out for an hour it's going bad lol

Spoiled yogurt tastes bad, you'll notice if it wend bad. I'm honestly not sure when humans apparently lost their ability to use their basic senses (smell/taste). The shit I've eaten that was way beyond the best before date and I've never had food poisoning or anything similar.

It's only been a few hours. If your mama put a yoghurt in your Bart Simpson lunchbox and you arrive at school for 8:30, you'd still eat the yoghurt at lunchtime, right? I wouldn't normally use elementary school analogies but nobody is out here taking packed lunches to work as a grown-up.
