You could make a separate page that someone would have to go through, read, and perhaps answer a few questions about before they'd be taken to the sign-up page, which still would hold those same warnings, only bigger.
The thread that I frequent has seen several people who, for some reason, don't follow this. It's not like one user, who only registered because he was a historical figure to the cow in question, no, these people came straight from derpibooru, using the exact same usernames they used to write lewd MLP fanfiction. How is the fact that most of us find this to be cringeworthy completely lost on them? The world isn't "love and tolerate" or whatever the fuck the bronies' stupid mantra is. Hell, I almost signed up with a common username I use, and was acting slightly foolish in the farms before I got a hang of the "culture", so to speak.
That being said,
@Null, I firmly believe that you have to keep making ways of informing newcomers (who aren't people of interest, like
@Doopie or
@Alec Benson Leary) NOT to register with their own common usernames. Make it some flashy rainbow text, post pictures of incidents where people were driven off the farms after using their personal usernames, I dunno.
They have to understand that people WILL try to find them and people WILL try to make fun of them.
