So I haven't been here all that long and maybe this has been brought up to death, though I feel like I would have seen this by now if it had, but I noticed something from the start of getting into Deagle Nation that I swear only grows more and more evident the farther down the rabbit hole I go.

It's that our Jace Conners very very much seems to resemble Mac from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" in both attitude and looks to a trippy degree. In fact when I first saw the videos I figured he was knocking off the character and putting his own spin on him. Except now I am quite convinced he is not a troll, but still the resemblance to the actor Rob McElhenny in voice and looks and also the way he speaks, quips, and holds some of the same dumb beliefs of Mac as a character just are uncanny to me.

I'm just wondering has anyone else seen this? Did it ever strike anyone else as odd?

this thought always stood in the back of my mind makes me wonder if he saw mac thinking he was cool, that'd be sick and realistic, i really want to say he's been exposed to it's always sunny but i don't think there's any hard evidence to back that up, me and my friends always compare him to mac and say tyce is charlie, which to some oddball extent is true i especially love his martial arts when he's on shrooms, it's so surreal watching him "Beyblading." short answer you were the first to bring it up publicly so good on you i think there are a few mock-up sunny episode titlecards on a thread or two

If op had said Mac from Mac and Me, I would have agreed. They both have a lack of hair on their head, fucked eyes and always end up at a mcdonalds.

you were the first to bring it up publicly

Nah, there was at least one thread where people started comparing the Deagle Boys to Sunny characters, in fact that was what got me to watch that show (don't regret it), and the general consensus was that Tyce and Jace share a few traits with Sunny characters, but that Charlie and Tyce (huffing stuff, problems reading/writing, general craziness) and Jace and Mac have some pretty strong parallels, though the Jace - Mac parallels are certainly the strongest and most obvious.

Jace also has a bit of Dennis in him, like when he revealed that his desktop background is a picture of himself (because in mirrors you don't always look that good), or whenever he tries to prove how buff and not gay he is and takes his shirt off...

It's been brought up many times. Jace is Mac, Tyce is Charlie (huffing and illiteracy) and Eli is Dennis (unrepentant puss hound)

Yeah see I mean if I really wanted to look, I could see everyone else sort of resembling others in the gang. But it's just Jace, man. I really could believe that he had seen the show and thought he was cool and sort of is imitating him a bit. In a future stream (if we get one) I'd love to ask him if he'd heard of the show.

The resemblance between the two is as well-noted as it is uncanny:
  • Both think of themselves as being huge badasses.
  • Both are drawn to fictional depictions of masculinity.
  • Both have a questionable degree of mental health.
  • Both have abusive moms and absent dads.
  • Both claim to be Catholics but fail to understand their faith in the slightest.
  • Both hold a great deal of disdain for gays and Muslims.
  • Both unintentionally (?) insert lots of homoerotic subtext into what they say.
  • All of their friends are sociopaths, speds or both.
Anything else I'm missing?

They both got fat and lost the weight at an unhealthy rate
Alcoholism

They both fight like bitches but practice pointless karate/parkour moves

-Both have been associated with attacking transgenders.
-Both have gun fever.
-Both like to video record their stunts (Project Badass).
-Both believe that supporting the troops is somehow tied to wrestling.
-Both are supportive of juggalos.

I personally think Charlie's mom is a lot more like Gail, though.

man Always Sunny is just similar in general to the humor in Deagle Nation
pretty much every livestream where Jace has Tyce or Eli around to bounce off of is like a really really long Sunny episode with more gamer humor

This especially. Tyce's intervention and the Tyce trial were so strange I would swear it was scripted as an homage. There are times when the humor goes from "wow these guys are ridiculous" to "wow if that was actually meant to be a joke that was fairly witty."

And I didn't mean to beat a dead horse with the thread. I just hadn't seen any on the topic.
