I like Jack in the Box, even before I worked a night shift post-COVID (very few places to eat 24H, not even grocery stores open anymore).

Bad: Service often sucks, the app doesn't really work, their fries are definitely C-tier at most, their burgers are kind of "mushy" even by fast food standards, drinks are Freestyle so it never tastes right

Good: tacos a guilty pleasure, pretty wide menu with lots of options, breakfast all day

Guys, you actually went to a real taqueria and eat non-fast food tacos in all your life? Even homemade ones can count. Always hearing about Taco Bell and now this shit.
Real question.

They had an amazing fish sandwich a million years ago in Vegas. There is no good chain fish sandwich on the superior coast, other than Wendy's during lent.

Man, I just had Jack in the Box earlier. I'll admit their burgers are okay, I prefer their chicken sandwiches like the sourdough grilled chicken club. Was a fan of the monster taco when it was available. The two tacos for a $1 plus are good but with the hot sauce are too much in my opinion. The monster taco was just perfect.

Jack in the Box tacos are the definition of poverty food. They're a childhood classic though, I love them.
Most of their other food is really unremarkable.
Real tacos are obvious better but their dog food tacos as i like to call them are weirdly adictive. 2 for 1$ is an insanely good deal, even more so when you are tired at night and want something fast. The 24/7 breakfast is also neat although i have never ordered breakfast from them after breakfast hours.

They’re ok. Their burgers aren’t the best, but you could do a lot worse (looking at you Burger King) fries are pretty bland as well

The tacos should be bottom of the barrel shit tier, but they must use some powerful voodoo making them because they’re pretty fucking good despite their awfulness.

Come for the tacos, stay for the...monster tacos.
Burgers are comparable to Wendy's in my opinion, but I still eat them. It sucks though that my nearest Jack in the Box is hours away downstate. About anytime I get the chance to go, I get a fuckton of extra taco sauce and keep it in one of my kitchen drawers for that ghetto Jack experience. Worked just fine when Burger King sold the literal same tacos for a while.

Jack and the Box food is weirdly good. It's not great but it's cheap and have some interesting choices. I like their nuggets, that nacho taco, their Sourdough Jacks and it's one of only places I know that sells curly fries. The only negative is that the closest Jack in the Box to my house is always surrounded by homeless people.

JITB tacos cannot be compared to other food. They're not like tacos, and they're not quite cat food. Saying "you can make tacos at home" ignores the abomination that JITB tacos truly are. They are singular.

I like JITB's offerings, but I hate my local. They knocked down the ancient building and put up a brand new one, and everyone was talking about how much better it was going to be.
It isn't, because the same nasty bitch owns it.

I once made the mistake of filling out the survey and talking about the shortcomings of the brand-new location. Bitch called and left a nasty voicemail. Corporate apologized, sent me digital coupons, and said they couldn't make her change because she owns the location.

Their app is pretty good I guess. It spoiled me for other apps. Most of them are clunky and fucked, but the JITB app is quick and responsive.

I don't think the "cheap" label really applies anymore, but they do have some low dollar offerings left on the menu.
