He is not a nice guy at all IMO. I think he deliberately set out to use her and I noticed that she's gotten a lot of support from other YouTubers. I think based on some of his videos people probably already had someone negative feelings about him. And this may have boosted that negative opinion. Not just the cheating itself but his response video to her video. I suspect that he's a very manipulative and Charming person and that probably got her caught up. And since they were living on opposite coasts, he lives in Virginia and she lives in California, maybe it took a while for the reality to kick in.
Richie/SR is a piece of work. I would guess that most of his fans are teenage girls. Which would indicate that a lot of them have their parents as their primary source of income. He posted a video few months back in which he complained about how he had bought so much expensive equipment for his tour that he didn't have a lot of money. Poor baby. He really laid it on heavy. It seems like he was hinting really hard to get his followers to give money to him.
Here is his "I am not begging for charity (but really I am" video:

He got called out in the comments on that one. He likes to delete the comments that he doesn't like, as many YouTubers do, to try to spin the reaction in his favor but I was watching and saw a lot of comments disappear and the true reaction to his whining was appropriate. People thought he was an ass. It might be after that when he made the video where he was watching his subscribers count drop, from what I heard. I didn't watch it directly because I hate to give him views. He strikes me as such a narcissist. This was all a couple of months prior to The Break-Up.
Here is his video in which he watches his "channel die".

Then his reaction to her video about The Break Up is pretty messed up. Where he blames her for trusting him as some have noted, because she "was warned" about him. He makes it like it's going to be an apology video but it's not an apology video at all . He basically is all wrapped up in his ego with this idea he seems to have of himself as being somebody who others needs to be warned about . It's just really creepy in a way, or else it's really hilarious. Maybe a little of both. And as one person who made a response video noted, he gives a smile of pleasure when he says she had been warned.
Here is his video response to Jaclyn's video about their break up:

I know that's not directly related to her behavior but some of the fallout from this is interesting and I think part of her overall story. Including the fact that her father thanked one of the people who made a video about him and his response to her in the comments. And it really is her father. I wonder what her father thinks about her YouTube content in general.
Here is the video reaponse to which her father commented his gratitude for the video and says something about the day he crosses paths with Richie/SR, roughly. The creator pinned the comment:
