Well, I would imagine early on it wasn't a difficult comparison to make. For the longest time, most people regarded trannies of both types as just being "like gay, but extra gay". Troon advocates played this up because everyone already accepted the gays.

In fact, from very early on, trooning was seen as the final solution to the homo problem.

Christine Jorgensen's surgeons said some pretty wild things about how the viewed their job as fixing sexual degenerates. (maybe not in exactly that phrasing, but yeah)

It's only when the AGPs became more prominent did we get people trying to separate the connection between sexuality and trooning (while still trying to retain all the benefits of glomming onto the goodwill the gays had curated over the years).

But! Then he raises the same arguments elsewhere, like nothing ever happened.

What's interesting about the Gish Gallop is that it was named after a young earth creationist named Duane Gish, who would utilize this tactic of spamming his opponents with as many "arguments" and "sources" as possible in order to overwhelm the opponent, who would feel the need to debunk each and every point.

As autistic as the term, "fundie atheist" is, it really does describe Jake here. Especially his religious devotion to defending the absolute worst that humanity has to offer, nonces and closet nonces.

It's actually a reasonably effective strategy, especially if you are completely full of shit. It takes advantage of the asymmetry between how easy it is to advance a bogus argument and how difficult in comparison it is to dissect it. That's why you don't bother arguing with these cocksuckers, you just insult them and call them retards and rape their moms.
