They haven't been. The kindergarten they went to in the original show got blown up or destroyed by meteors or something, so they started having classes at the local high school instead. Because reasons.

That honestly is the saddest thing about this.
The level of salt and hatred towards this show probably is most likely nowhere near as high as people were towards Teen Titans Go!. (All that show did was appeal to a specific demographic, and it succeeded for the most part. Regardless of what all the whiny neckbeards say.)
So chances are, this will most likely just pass under the radar. And, worst case scenario, more instances of this will be happening in the future.

The original PPG fandom could see the reboot was garbage from the outset and basically had no interest in it. That's why this shit didn't even get noticed for months. Ironic considering there was a villain in the original show who was essentially what a lot of radical feminists are today. Someone that tries to turn men and women against each other.
Considering that and how the original VA's for the girls weren't even contacted to reprise their roles, it really feels like the people behind this show really wanted to spite the people behind the original show and anyone who liked it.
