Hehe called this as soon as the vid got noticed.
All he had to say was "Yes, I have fucked up to epic proportions, this was an enormous misjudgement and all I can do now is apologise and hope to make amends." This is a situation where you don't try to justify it, dont make excuses, just accept that you screwed the pooch and take the lumps.

This documentary has a person explain that "low hanging" is unfortunately a common phenomenon in the Suicide Forest. Whether it be by accident or they want their bodies looking semi normal in their casket when they're found (if they're found that is), however low hanging is painful and is common for the person to live for longer as they're fighting to breathe - if this was fake I don't know how you'd explain the purple hands or the "stiffness" look to them as when you hang yourself blood is no longer flowing so it flushes to other body parts like the hands and feet.

Even if this was a staged joke his and his "friends" rude behavior towards seeing a body is beyond disrespectful to anyone who has lost a family member to suicide in or out of that forest

There was a ton of things they could do that would be respectful (stop filming, call the cops, give footage to the jp cops, skip the day's video with an explanation , take the day off) as Aokigahara even before becoming a suicide hotspot was a creepy place and full of bad omens of death. One thing that I noticed too (thanks @captn_kettle for the close up) is that usually when a body passes your muscles relax so the guys bladder and rectum would empty - it's rare to see but sometimes bodies won't show that but I leave that to the person who gets the embalm the body
