At almost exactly 15 minutes in does the video actually start. The obscenely long intro is a montage of Jake's worst behavior and Shane pussy footing with the idea of doing the video and meeting Jake and all that.

Considering the amount of hype and promotion Shane has given to this series, I was disappointed. The editing is all over the place, the overly dramatic music is unnecessary and the constant repeating of '' is jake paul a sociopath'' followed by dramatic scenes of sociopaths and scary effects is just.. no. This whole part one was just everything we already know about Jake and could've easily been summarized into a shorter video.

It was a decent overview of all the shit surrounding the Pauls, but yeah, the rest of the series really ought to have more... you know.. content. Hopefully just a standard intro video for the series. Part 2 is slated for tomorrow.

I figured the 1st episode would be more for people who aren't in the know about Jake Paul so I wasn't too disappointment. iNabber's interview was pretty good, but I wished Shane would just post it one after the other, but I'm happy to wait. I'm interested in what Shane said about the psychiatrist, when asked about sociopaths and youtubers she apparently said that "There was a few".

Also, Jake's video about Shane's series.

Honestly, I had no idea who these jackasses were until the Suicide Forest controversy happened. I wrote off Logan Paul as a completely idiotic douchebag, and that was that. Once the (accurate) rumors were flying about Shane Dawson doing a video series about Jake Paul, that's when I started to learn more about this whole fucked up family and "Team 10."

I then stumbled upon NerdCity's video, which was fantastic. It is SO well-done, and it deserves millions of views. The Paul family is far more sinister than I could have imagined. I knew that people hated them, but after watching the Nerd City video, I think that they are far worse than people hyped them up to be, tbh.

Anyway, I wasn't disappointed in Shane's first episode. As someone who just familiarized herself to these guys, it was a good video for context. I think that episode 2 will be more of the same, except it will be giving context as to what being a sociopath means, and if that term can be applied to people we watch on the internet. I don't think the "good stuff" will appear until the third or fourth video.

Shane was saying yesterday that there had been some last minute additions to the series and that they were still editing. I could have SWORN I saw Shane holding Dr. Downvotes' LED goggles in the first episode. Maybe they met at the KSI fight and Shane talked with them before the Nerd City video came out?

If I'm feeling a little more :autism: , I may just go fucking find the screenshot of what I'm thinking about.

Found it.

Does anyone else get a little creeped out when they watch Logan get interviewed/try to be serious? Idfk there’s just something off about him. I kinda think Jake is just a dumbass chasing fame, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there. Logan, on the other hand, I don’t know.

Their entire online lives post-vine are just one big artificial borderline illegal money siphon. They're the royal family of youtube, with all of the bizzare lizard person behavior that comes with it.

Unfortunately that's a clip from his previous series with the blind girl.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeit. Video today was interesting though. Really interested to see if Shane touches upon the wincest angle next week

The second part of Shane's series was fascinating and well-done. You can just tell that shit is going to hit the fan once we watch his interactions with Jake Paul.

I think that's just the product of half-assed acting. Like the dude tries to appear concerned/contrite/sad, but has no reason to be and so he just looks spaced out. I honestly think it's funny as shit that Logan can be such a transparent psychopath and people think he's just immature and douchey. The suicide forest video wasn't a dumb mistake, it was an artfully crafted means of generating controversy and thus getting views.

The second part was definitely better than the first. I appreciate Shane for having a licensed therapist to explain what a sociopath is, but this seems just like scratching the surface very briefly and lacks important information.
I noticed Shane put in the description box that they've edited out the parts where they explain the difference between psychopaths and sociopaths. Why? That would've been way more informative than putting up random clips of attention whoring youtubers and people with masks. This just feels unscripted to me, somewhat half-assed and doesn't really have a structure to it. Maybe it's just my preference.

That being said since this is a Paul thread, I don't think these assholes are sociopaths. They might show few signs, but that doesn't make them sociopaths. I'd go with dumb attention whores.

I think Shane's going to try to Shymalanalamadingdong the series and spend a lot of time talking about sociopathy, and then point to the dad as the progenitor of their issues.

Wouldn't it be a great ending if Shane took all the Paul's into a vasectomy clinic at the end and paid for their surgeries? :optimistic:
