Every match with these two morons is nothing but fucking theater. Had this match had any effect on Mayweather's record, Logan would have been in the ER after the first round.
Of course Mayweather would never allow himself to get embarrassed and take an actual dive to Logan Paul, so having a draw match was the only way for these two to laugh their asses off on the way to the bank and save face while doing so. Logan gets to say "I went the distance with Floyd Mayweather", Mayweather gets to walk out a few million dollars richer.

As others have said, the managers for the pair probably sat down and agreed the outcome, but Merryweather is fairly clapped out. Imagine Logan Paul fighting a proper Ukrainian boxer, even a retired one, maybe Wladimir Klitschko could come out of retirement to put Logan Paul in a box.

Being an exhibition the fight wasn't scored. Floyd absolutely would have won on points had it been the case. Mayweather landed 43 punches of 107 thrown (40.2%), compared to Paul's 28 landed of 217 thrown (12.9%)

Mayweather's not a knockout artist, he's a small counterpuncher that picks his spots. I was surprised by Paul's ability to intelligently defend himself against Mayweather's attacks in the later rounds. He was able to duck under some very fast shots and he knew to clinch and hold on when he got his bell rung.
The second part about laughing on the way to the bank makes no sense. Floyd gets payed no matter what happens and it's an exhibition match so there was no "draw".

Say what you will about the Paul brothers, it's at least impressive that they can keep fooling people into taking the bait for these exhibition fights. You're never going to see them get their chins deleted by an actual fighter, but enough people are willing to pay for the possibility of seeing that happen live that they can rake in millions for every one of these "fights".

Jake Paul is actually facing a real fighter for his next fight...Tyron Woodley. Tyron is a smaller MMA guy but he's a puncher with a lot of experience. He was the best 170 pounder in the sport for a little bit.
It's a big step up and will be interesting.
