Unless someone seriously presents evidence otherwise, I'm going to assume jake wanted to divorce Ali pre nintendo firing, but only had the nuts to do it when he wasn't under a microscope anymore because the farms were down. Meh, it's a joint filing for dissolution, which means that he either signed agreement on the form before she ever turned it into the court or he signed off on it when the court notified him (I'm guessing the former due to the timeframe)

I see Ali being the petitioner as nothing more than her doing the work and Jake reaping the benefits...pretty much the same as when Ali actually worked at Nintento and he was a barista there.

King County is one of those places that only gives meatspace copies of things like divorces, so all I could glean from the docket is that the form as submitted was the standard 10 pages without any runoff or addenda (so no pile of individual items beyond the meagre fill-in-the-boxes).

Because Jake has signed for this as a joint, he has until the final orders are signed to file and serve a Response, which looks like Cinco de Mayo (how festive, Ali can celebrate by choking on a burrito). If we see nothing between now and then then there's no dispute on it and they're done.

Will be interesting to see if he reclaims his Johnson (er, the surname). All-in-all, it actually looks like Jake is taking most of the recommended steps to recovery from being a Rapp star (running away from the verified crazy, working on getting a real job like a real boy, not trying to sell his ass for social justice signaling points, etc.). Provided Fran keeps him in line, he'll really just fade into being a divorcee millennial who inhaled a mite too much social justice while working the latte machine and we'll have nothing to discuss.

Of course, if things with Fran fall apart, how interesting things will be will depend on who he latches onto next. Hopefully he can find a job, even if it is with that (giggle) Memberful place he tweeted at. He at least acknowledges that's his next step...

I think I've finally figured out this nazi punching thing. It's not actually about punching Nazis. It's about posting that you support punching nazis on social media, just like how the safety pin shit wasn't about "minorities" or whatever cause it was for, it was about posting about it on social media and talking about how you support it.
