So some shit went down in the past few weeks that could be fairly interesting.
First, James went to Coachella again this year, and claimed to be getting mobbed day two, so he did a brand deal with Sugarbear Hair to get to safety.
Sugarbear Hair is a little blue gummy vitamin that's supposed to make your hair and nails grow faster and healthier; Though James specifically talked about their new purple ones that are supposed to help you sleep, claiming that they helped with his anxiety and also showing that he doesn't understand how anxiety works. How does doing a brand deal for a vitamin get you bodyguards that if you weren't exceptional you would have hired from the jump knowing damn well that your fans are almost exclusively rabid teenage girls? The world may never know, but he didn't claim that they paid for the guards, he made it seem like the vitamin people were specifically providing the service.
Either way, this upset another booty guru,
Tati Westbrook. James and Tati have had an almost Mother/Son relationship on YouTube for years. James was
invited to her
wedding and her last few
birthday parties, and they seem like very close friends. Tati has been very supportive of James' exploits, giving remarkably biased
reviews of his morphe palette and going out of her way to support him by buying it instead of waiting for pr. Tati owns the brand
Halo Beauty, Sugarbear's main competitor. When Halo first came out, James was supportive on Snapchat and Twitter, claiming he was going to be taking the vitamins himself and that he bought a bottle without waiting for pr as well.
In the wake of the betrayal that was James' deal with Sugarbear, Tati posted an Instagram story crying about fake friends in Hollywood and James put out a half assed public apology on his story. As of right now they aren't talking. The current debate is whether Tati is overreacting or if James should have stood by his friend and been selective of the brand deals he takes, considering his massive following and the fact that he certainly isn't hurting for money.
Part Two: Back to Coachella. Someone saw James wandering around the festival with someone and asked if they were dating. Then he tweets this.

The guy's name is Gage, his Instagram account and YouTube is im_gage, he's a model, a med student, and he's straight, probably. But more on that in a minute.
See, James does this a lot. He's notorious for going after straight guys, maybe getting a one night stand, getting dumped and then crying about being alone for the rest of his life because he's 19 and can't get a boyfriend. The thing is that the guys are straight. He knows they're straight when he dms them. Then after a few months of talking and a couple live meetups if the straight guy doesn't switch teams for him he's an evil manipulative bastard who played with his feelings for clout/money/Coachella tickets/the opportunity to kiss that barely legal lip-injected horse face and wasted his precious time.
After James' tweet, Gage put out a video.
Lil Jimmy may have been a bit peeved.
In the leaked texts above Gage made it clear from the beginning that he just wanted to try things out to see if he swung that way, and simply realized that he didn't. James chimps out and claims that Gage invited himself to Coachella with him and forced him to pay for his plane tickets and accommodations just because he heard James would have an extra ticket. Gage seems mostly just desperate to clear his name because of the aforementioned rabid teenage fans. It's an absolute shitshow. James shows a pretty manipulative side of himself and seems a lot like an obsessive, controlling, emotionally abusive bastard in these texts because of the way he completely ignores and steamrolls over anything that Gage says. Maybe if he'd stop trying to buy love from straight guys he'd have a boyfriend by now.
