I dont think it bothers him, if it did he would do something about it. Like wear a nerdhat of some sort....i like buckethats....comfy and cosy and does their job fiiiine. But i do look like a fucking nerd. That could work.

He obviously dont give a shit about his hairline, and good for him. There aint no shame in goin bald.
But it DOES affect the nerd character a bit, he should wear a bucket hat for nerd episodes.

Honestly the middle of the video, where he's just reviewing the game, is the best part. I always run out of goodwill toward the game at the Carnival world, too. Glover is one of my childhood games™ and I don't think I ever got past the Prehistoric world.

Man, that scat joke near the end was painful to watch. I haven't watched AVGN since Earthbound so take this for what you will. I get that scat humor is central to the Nerd but when James is well into his 40s looking like Brains it's just sad. Those soundbites from Mario 64 and the other N64 platformers were way too fucking loud. Loud does not equal comedy and every YouTuber does this.

FWIW, Mike played this a couple of weeks ago. I don't really feel like sitting through five and a half hours of Mike Matei to find out if the footage matches, though.

I always saw divided opinions over it. People seem to have nostalgia for it but acknowledge it's a massive pain in the ass. A unique gimmick with some charming graphics and a nice little main character, but a game that'll make you pull your hair out.

You just made me imagine James hair line being the result of him getting a Manscapped sponsorship only for him to partly shave his head followed by him drooping the sponsor for making a bad products but its now to latte to fix the hair, all this because he dose not get what Manscapped is relay meant for.

Add in that Glover has already been reviewed by other people with videos which are better and much more interesting than whatever James currently puts out

The passion has been utterly milked from VGN, James basically ran out of games that he had any real stake or interest in, and he's now reviewing random shit that he'd never touch without some sort of outside input.

It was a pretty average episode. Had no idea there was a Nintendo 64 glove like that. I am a bit biased towards liking it since he reviewed a game I've played before and that's always nice. Do wish he played more of the PlayStation version since it's so much easier.

There is no hairline anymore, that's hair from the back top of his head extended forward.
Not that I think it's a big deal, I've always said a character called the Nerd doesn't need to look fashionable, there are middle aged balding nerds too.
The videos just suck now regardless of hair.

I came here because I saw a thumbnail and needed to express how sad that hairline is.

A tip to fellow men, it eventually gets to a point where you have to cut your losses and shave it off until you start going grey. That is the only way a hairline like that doesn't just look depressingly bad. No matter how you comb it, or cut it, or style it, you will never completely hide the bald. Just embrace it.

Not that I'm speaking from experience, I was blessed with chad hair genetics so my hair will just get thinner and I'll probably never go completely bald.
