They missed out on the ps4 1.0 version of Cyberpunk. Could have made a whole episode about it. Such a waste. He already broke the nostalgia rule by doing THPS5 and Spiderman. The Vice city glitches were boring.
The skit that took up half the episode was 10 mins too fucking long.
James saying that modern games are perfect and bug-free is the most out of touch/boomer thing he has ever said in AVGN, there's plenty of modern broken games that they could have used, even from this year alone, i thought they were going in that direction when they first mentioned THPS5, even with the Vice City part they could have used the 1.0 version of the Definitive Edition instead.

I know James doesn't care about modern gaming, but is there no one working with him that knows even a bit more about modern games?

A good question indeed, is it a delusional Ryan "Electrons move through reality" or a uninformed Mike "I only care about games made before 1995"... perhaps it's his neighbour buddy who is just a normal dad, not a nerd... Any more suspects?

Anyway Chris bores did that Deck the halls better with Ronnie the skeleton, couldn't find a link to prove my point, you just have to thrust... wait... trust me i mean..

I'd say it's gotten even more prevalent as times gone on since they know they can now patch some fuck ups so they push games out slightly sooner than they should

I could see this being part of his logic. Yes, they come out as buggy messes, but these bugs generally get fixed. Glitchy old NES games are glitchy forever and ever.

I think the best part of this episode was James playing Tony Hawk with a PS3 controller...
